Hawk have no need for Broberg and would only consider trading Murphy for picks or prospects. Easy pass for the Hawks. Rangers and Vancouver easily decline those other two trades. I doubt the Hawks would pay what it would cost to acquire Kakko from the Rangers, even though I'd like to see him on a line w/ Bedard.

These trades are all heavily in Chicago's favor and its not funny. Murphy has been one of the worst players in the NHL this year so I doubt EDM trades Broberg for him. Kaapo Kakko is a good add for a young Blackhawks team but i think it might cost a little more to get him. The Vancouver trade is laughable at best. Kuzmenko has had a slow start but he isn't a cap dump and its not worth trading Myers a 1st and a 2nd for a worse much defensemen, Myers contract is done this year and we'd much rather just hold him

Advanced analytics undervalue Murphy immensely. If he were on a roster that could actually drive possession, play a solid team defense, or he didn't have to babysit a rookie kid who is a big defensive liability, every night, and he wasn't depended on take almost ALL of the toughest defensive assignments on a bad team, stat cards would look a lot different. If any of these naysayers actually watched him, they would know that.

I find it funny how hard New Englanders come at CHI all the time. They don't seem to target other teams as heavily as they do to CHI. So, the only thing I can think of is they are still butt hurt about 2013. We were the better team, get over it. As someone born in the BOS area, raised in the CHI area, but lives back in the BOS area now, I might actually root for the Bruins if I their fans weren't so obnoxious. They are a great team.
