Rangers decline. Goodrow has a very buyout-friendly deal, and they can probably get a similar pending-UFA center without giving up Sykora.

Leafs gladly accept. I don't see Nashville accepting it though.

Drop Sykora and Goodrow from the deal and you're a lot closer.

Toronto needs to cough up more for what they're receiving.

Instead of the 2nd, should have asked for Nolan Foote and Kevin Bahl

    (Get it? FooteBahl?)

Hard to believe a Habs fan is being that generous to the Leafs.

    Hard pass on Kuznetsov.

Goodrow is negative value. It's more 1st + Sykora + Cap Dump with 4yrs left on the deal. It's more close than what you think that way.

Uhh don't really know about Lauzon value wise. Moldenhauer is a very nice prospect tho.

I know Goodrow is negative, Nashville has no interest. Sykora doesn't cover the gap. Novak for a late 1st is pretty well on the money with his current cap hit.

Yes but what i am saying is that Novak should return a 1st+ Prospect. I added Goodrow so i am technically helping New York even more. They are getting value out of this instead of buying him out and having a penalty for Multiple years. So this offer isn't that crazy. It's pretty fair.

Your comment doesn't make sense... Novak should get a 1st+ and Goodrow is a negative so helping New York even more makes this a fair deal?

If Goodrow was a UFA, I could see it (with a lesser piece than Sykora going back to NSH). With the amount of term he has left, it's a non-starter.

Lauzon is finally realizing the potential Poile initially saw in him. He's leading the NHL in hits. His defensive game has improved dramatically under Brunette. He's jumping in offensively, in a positive way now too.

I don't see Moldenhauer being much more than a fringe NHL player. Every team has at least a half dozen of him, and if he weren't Leafs property, no one would even know his name. A 3rd and a B/B- prospect feels a touch low for me for either Lauzon or a retained Trenin. For both, it's robbery.

I hate to give up on Kuz but I'd do it. Caps and Kuz need to move on from each other.
