Why is Van giving away Zadorov now? A playoff style guy for the 4th line would be a strong move as well. Leafs need some guys to wear down the other team.

Canucks aren’t giving away Zadorov for less than we paid for him

Van has no reason to trade Zadorov. if you want him, it would have to be an overpay. there is no motivation to do this.

No way Zadorov goes for a 4th 🤣🤣🤣
If you want him it would need to be at least a 2nd, if not a 1st.

Contending teams don't trade UFAs if they need those players for a playoff run., so obviously Zaradov remains a Canucks.
Hartman has already signed a extension with Mini, which the Leafs couldn't afford anyway.
I know Leaf fans hate their own, but are the Leafs that much better with Middleton/Hartman over Brodie/Robertson and a first?

Not fair enough value going to Minnesota here. Hartman alone is worth that 1st, IMO. The Wild also need more big mobile Dmen, not less. Middleton ain't going anywhere.

Yes. Brodie and Robertson will get exposed in the playoffs. Brodie is already playing like a 7th D.

If that's the logic so be in. Hartman has won one NHL playoff round in his career and Middleton zero. So who got exposed? Yeah it's not logical either.. But I think Leaf fan hate their own. They see 82 games of their team and see ALL the mistakes "their" players make. A team that might watch just four times a year....yep those players hardly make any mistakes.

I just look at the size factor and the grease factor. Can Robertson ever be greasy in front of the net? Or will he just be a wrist shot guy? Because in the playoffs you need greasy goals. And Brodie was horrible last playoffs. At this point it's addition by subtraction with him.

Legit question, why would you think the Canucks would want to trade Zadorov? And why would they do it for less than what they paid? What is the logic there

It’s because someone (don’t know who) started a rumour that the Canucks were looking to trade Zadorov to create cap space. Since then, Rutherford and Allvin (management), Rick Dhaliwal (Canucks most reliable reporter), and Dan Milstein (Zadorov’s agent) have all denied the rumours and have said Zadorov is staying put and not involved in talks. Despite this people now think because of the original report the Canucks are trying to give Zadorov away, hence all the CapFriendly people trying to acquire him for pennies on the dollar.
