Nothing more tho lots of habs fans wanted a damn good prospect and a first (kakko trades were just yesterday as well)

They probably could have scraped a bit more if they retained but it allows then to make other deals with that retention slot

My proposal yesterday was Jonsson-fjällby levis and mtl 2nd which is basically a 1st just in different pieces. 1st alone seems fair but deadline price got it to be a first and maybe 3rd

The funniest thing about it is that it was Jets fans who were the ones spamming 'Monahan isn't worth a first' on every type of social media, idk what their problem with us was but they have been awful, I wouldn't call this karma, but also suck it.

Heh. Winnipeg paid a lot for the marginal bottom sixer who wasn’t an upgrade on what Winnipeg already has. squinty smile

Yep also mtl fans tend not to understand the picks and how they are determined. Example jets finish first in the league and lose first round that pick is 28th regardless. Any team eliminated in the first 2 rounds get picks 17-28 based on the standings of those teams top 4 get 29-32. Most realistic location for the pic is 22-28 tbh

Simply supply and demand not many options at all available at center that can play middle six. I would have paid mtl 2nd but the difference is only about 15 picks approx rn

I’m simply reporting what many Jets fans were consistently saying on here.

I love Monahan and you will too.

I actually think it’s a great move for WPG. Guy can play anywhere and do anything and still manage to be useful.

I felt he wasn't worth a 1st but it's deadline so he got a first big difference. Not many options available and Monahan does a lot of things good especially faceoffs

Your hatred for Habs fan is making you make these projections my friend.

"What Habs fan don't understand"? Still tking shots?
Most Habs fans were saying he was going to fwtch a 1st and he did.
While most Jets fans were saying he would never fetch a 1st.

Where are the Habs fans not understanding how picks are distributed...? Nowhere. Your "toxic hate" for Habs fans is clear.

Get a mirro. And stop projecting your hate so much.

You couldn't even read "irony" in that 2nd comment.

Hate will give you cancer.

Now enjoy Monahan, you'll love him,
Hope the Jets go far in the playoffs!
Go Jets.

And stop hating so much.

PEACE

All of them be terrible? Just like when Habs fans were saying "Monahan will fetch a 1st"?

TherE's too much obvious hate coming from you...

Your hatred is so obvious that you can't stand being wrong so you try to imagine another illusory scenario to bash once again.

You were wrong.
And most Habs fans were right.

Can you admit that?

Guess not. It requires 'cohones'.

The first part was right, if they finish first in league, the 28th is minimum, but not for the reason you said and the stuff after that isn't entirely accurate, the teams that make it to the finals get 31 and 32, the conference finalists get 30 and 29, the conference winners that lost get the the picks after (it changes based on how many made it to the conference finals), THEN the teams that didn't win their division get sorted by points. For the sake of example, lets say the standings stay the same as they are now. If the Rangers and Panthers lost in the first 2 rounds, even though Florida is higher in the standings, their pick is before New York's because New York won their division.

I know it isn't entirely relevant atm, but I wanted it to be more clear so other people know for the future and also because Winnipeg isn't guaranteed to win their division, it could cause their pick to be a few picks better then the way you explained it, potentially a 26th pick turns into a 22nd. (Hope I broke the stereotype for you)
