So you are going to give up multiple 1st round prospects, a 1st round picks, and multiple other picks, and go all in with you 2C being Colton sissons whose single season high production is 30 points? Seems like a fools errand to me. This team doesnt make it past the 1st round and due to the buyout of duchene struggles stay relevant next season after spending its load this season. If you dont fix the 2C issue the rest is pointless

You could be right but I doubt it. his contract is ending and he is almost 30, plus they are a rebuilding team so I doubt he is in the plan

Not sure FLA has the cap space or need for Barrie.

I could see Trotz having interest in Tanev, but he’d probably just go after him in FA if he wants to.

NSH doesn’t consider the Guentzel trade.

Probably not enough for Jenner.

The STL trade just doesn’t really make sense for either team.

Not sure why NSH or ARI do that trade.

I mean he loves stl. He came back, has a house here and we like him here. It's more likely we sign him to a cheap extension so he can be a vet in our bottom 6 than trade him.

Sissons play this year has been very good and he is on pace for 40 points so if the lines are shaken up his production could increase even more, I think it would work out fine.

I get the interest in Guentzel but i bet if nashville fixed their center issue the wings would follow. Need a strong center similar to RoR either homegrown or trade. Rising tide lifts all boats

Alot of his increased production is due to his change in usage this season. This year he has seen a large spike in powerplay time. He is getting on average 2:20 of powerplay time a game previously getting less than a minute a game. He already has 7 points on the powerplay while his previous full season high was 4.

His points per 60 (even strength scoring rate) is 1.19 which is right where it has been the past 4 seasons excepet for 22-23 which had a bump. Coach is just utilizing him in new ways because of the other options arent better. Glass and Pärssinen havent been better. Novak has been more of a winger.

“Probably” is putting it lightly.

Boone is signed to a sweetheart, team-friendly deal with term. He’s a C who is respected around the NHL, and can play anywhere in the top-nine. His only real knock is some bad injury luck.

Only way he’s being moved right now is for a ridiculous overpay.

Oh my word. Sunny rejected much better offers to return to the Blues for minimum. He's not going anywhere unless he asks to, which he presumably will not. And if he actually does, there is a -100000000% chance the Blues hand him to Nashville for trash. Not happening, sir.

I mean...Jenner isn't available. If we was, those 3rds become 1sts before the conversation even gets started. With this market and his contract, with these cap situations? Someone is paying a king's ransom to get a 2C for 3 playoff runs under $4M.

Aside from all these trades where we're trying to buy our way out of the middle with aging players and giving up all the picks we've acquired to do it, you've also buried 4 players that would get picked up for nothing in Lankinen, Glass, Fabbro, and Trenin. Glass is the only one who might pass through, but the rest all have some value to a contending team. The only one that might happen is the FLA trade for Barrie, but I personally don't see the Preds buying.

Even at max retention, I don't think PIT would get this good of a return.

Hes better than Lindholm and this is somewhat the same offer. Schaefer isnt anything special, Gurianov is a dump basically. Brunzewicz or however you spell it is on the same level as Molendyk. Maybe make the 2nd a 3rd but the value is where it should be, whether he fits or not is something different.

I don't think the gap between Guentzel and Lindholm is that big. Given that Lindholm is a center and makes less, I think he actually has the edge, value-wise. PIT's getting better picks and far better prospects here (I think Schaefer and Brzustewicz are the ones close in value. Molendyk is the best future in either package by a good margin, unless the TB 1st gets protected, then becomes a lottery pick in 2026). PIT isn't taking back a cap hit like Kuzmenko. Gurianov's cheap salary can be stashed back in minors at no expense, if PIT doesn't want to flip him or use him.

If Kuzmenko has a great season in CGY next year and the Flames get a haul out of him next deadline, it could be the bigger win. He could just as easily pull a Tyson Barrie though.

"How DARE you make mock trades for my 4th line player??!!??"

Nashville doesn't need more depth players, we're good. OP ain't even a preds fan
