I just can't believe any GM would want PLD now. Doubt if Vegas wants 6m Palat long term.
Meier might kinda be in the same boat as PLD. Do folks believe he is worth his long term 8.8m contact ?

Why are the kings paying the devils to take PLD and then the Habs paying new hook for PLD?

A more realistic trade would be meier for PLD , and btw pld will never play for the montreal canadiens (i was laughing out loud when i saw you were asking newhook in return 😆) montreal wont even trade gallagher for PLD

I'd argue he's nearing top ten, but he needs to take a significant step forward to just be near the top five and in a league with McDavid in it he's never gonna be the most valuable.

Mcdavid has 3 years at 12.5 mill

Jack has 7 at 8 mill

My valuation of Jack is about 16 mill AAV (56 mill in surplus value)

My valuation of Mcdavid is about 25 mill AAV (37.5 mill in surplus value)

Not saying Hughes is a better player but the contract makes him a more valuable ASSET

Better off doing the Meier trade for Newhook. Jackets arent moving Johnson for a winger and Habs arent paying for Dubois
