If there’s retention it’s fair, no retention it’s an absolute fleece for you guys.

I’d argue 1.8 mill in retention over 2 years is = to a 3rd/potential 2nd (I’ve been valuing it around there in my Marcus Pettersson proposals).

I imagine if Allen does enough to meet conditions (I don’t know what they are so who knows), I’d be fine giving up a 2nd.

New Jersey trades for an expring Kahkonen contract too. It seems that they have no plan for goaltending next year (Allen is not a starter and what they have in house is obviously not working). Are they going after Markstrom in the offseason or do they just not know what they want to do at all??
