Don't forget helping a rival. For damn peanuts.
They better get at least one of Celibrini/Hagens.
Lucky we're out of retention slots otherwise Couture would be in Buff/NSH at 50% for a conditional 4th.

I'd assume Levshunov, but at this point they'll reach for Parekh at the 2.

Please no. Parekh should be a senator

Tell Greer I'll give him two 4th rounders and a failed prospect for Eklund and Bordeleau in the offseason. If necessary he can throw in one of the second rounders for the coming draft, but it's not a deal breaker.

Everyone said the same thing about the Timo trade. Look how that’s worked out. Honestly it sucks to lose Hertl, but a 1st and a good prospect like Edstrom is a good return.

Blows my mind you'll still defend Grier.

This is worse than the Timo trade.

We got Musty, Mukh, Zetterlund, and still have a 2nd coming all for Timo who hasn’t even been that good this year. That trade was a major W for Grier.

The hard reality to face is that Hertl was going to be 35 the next time the Sharks were good. Getting a 1st and good prospect is good long term for the franchise.

So yall are retaining 17% for the next 7 years or whatever? When does Burns fall off? You've got Karlsson still for what 3 years after this year? How long you done with your retention slots?

Do you know if one of those guys retiring would get San Jose a retention slot back? I have no clue but now I am kind of curious.

I wouldn't blame Grier so much as the previous regime under Wilson.

After this season we'll have 1 year for Burns, 3 for Karlsson, and 6 for Hertl.
This is embarrassing.

He's made all the trades and done all the retention. He's not solely to blame, but it's on him majority wise.

The hard reality is this trade WASN'T needed.
