Description

Steps for the offseason and the 2025 TDL, assuming MTL lottery pick at 5oa and all key RFAs signed.

1. Buy out Anderson.
2. Get another 1st round pick in the 2024 draft, to use with the WPG 1st to trade up and get two high 1st round draft picks this year.
3. Pry Dylan Guenther out of ARI at the draft by using the NJD 1st (rated 11 oa on Tankathon ATM), if not try using the MTL 1st with less assets or/ draft Eiserman at 5th.
4. Trade Jordan Harris over the summer to make room on the backend.
5. I personally would like to get Monahan back in MTL but only for under $4.5mil on a one year deal.
6. Trade Savard, Evans and Armia at the 2025 TDL (Please god someone take Armia).

Devils pass. They are better off with quality, not quantity. They aren't heading into a rebuild and this isn't a deep draft.

Absolutely right. The Colorado second (pick 56 or later if Winnipeg is 25th overall) and the Montreal third (pick 69, 70 or 71) get you pick 45, not pick 23.

Now that Sean Monahan has re-established himself, he should be offered more than a one-season deal.

Yep

A better comparable was seen in the 2022 draft

NSH traded the 40 and 51 OA pick (2 2nds) and got the 27 OA pick from CAR

If TOR traded down by more than 5 spots 2 2nds be coming back
