Edmonton doesn't need to trade one of their big guys at all. They have enough cap space to re-sign Draisaitl, Bouchard and McDavid.

And they have no interest in Merzlikins. Skinner is already a starter, they don't need to bring in an overpaid backup in order to let him "develop".

the low end you're gonna have to pay at least 40 million between those three and nurse, we can see how that works out for the leafs

to be honest i forgot to add that CBJ probs retains half of elvis but the oilers need a goalie that can split with skinner before they run him into the ground, exactly what happened with talbot

The cap is rising and the big contracts are offset by value deals like Hyman and Nugent-Hopkins. They'll be fine.

Pickard >>>>> Elvis. They'll probably re-sign Pickard and let him and Rodrigue battle for the #2 job next year.
