I'm confused. Why on Earth would the Blues consider that? We're gonna need that pick to trade up this summer, thanks.

Avs should accept even if they have to find a starter from elsewhere to replace Georgiev.

Why are the blues wanting a guy who hasn't been healthy the last 2 years?

They have one, he’s a 6’4” Finn with chubby cheeks smile

Jokes aside, I probably do this if I’m Colorado also. Really would be interested to see how the cap would work out with the Mitts extension.

Yeah not sure Annunen is ready yet but he's showing signs now for sure. Still too early to tell though. I think you'd be in a position to run MacK-Mitts-Frost as 1-2-3 C and move Colton in this scenario and look for someone cheapish for 4C like Stenlund. Sign someone like Kahkonen at max 3 mil for a couple of years (give Annunen a bit more of a 1B workload and see how he goes), the 2.3 mil extra or maybe a bit more could be the difference between being able to afford Mitts or not.

guentzel not going to the flyers

no one is touching hart with a 5000 foot pole

no one is trading for ellis' contract, nor will he play hockey again

no one is giving up assets for atkinson unless they need to hit the cap floor

flyers aren't trading frost

I don't see any reality in which Washington pays assets for Atkinson. On top of his already unappealing contract and the fact Washington already has a similar contract with Oshie, the Caps have young guys like Miroshnichenko and Leonard fighting for full time spots next year which gives them no reason to add Atkinson.

Really, are you assuming that landeskog retires we trade Girard? Because a new #1 goalie is going to cost, then you have mackinnon mittelstadt colton and frost down the middle

NJD would offer a 2nd for Colton. Get back what you paid for him

I’m mostly talking from a value POV. I have no idea what Mittelstadt will cost. That’s gonna be interesting.

I assume you’d probably end up getting a lower end goalie to tandem with Justus. That would be risky. Then you have Frost at $2.1M to play 3rd line minutes with Colton. Mittelstadt drives a 2nd. Could be enough upside to compensate for the uncertainty in net. Math probably comes just shy of working out though unless you make some other moves.

Pretty funny how many people haven't noticed Stuart Skinner's existence yet, lol.

Agreed. He is actually doing a good job as the starter, at a cheap price. Taking on Hart makes no sense at all, for not only Edmonton, but every team!

Not really. Can easily run with someone out of UFA like Talbot or Kahkonen and logically Frost replaces Colton as I stated above.
