I won’t pretend to know what the Devils need, but for my money Celebrini holds way more value than Tkathuck. I personally would never trade a franchise player (he’s close to Bedard ‘s level) but if timeline doesn’t make sense for Devils, then I’d ask for a lot more than tkatchuk 🤷🏻. And if SENs were smart (which they usually aren’t), they’d pay it

Palat isn't waiving his NMC for Chicago. And a 2nd round pick isn't enough to move the rest of that contract anyway. 3x$6m for a guy who is obviously on the decline takes more.

Palat is a useful player but at 33 with $6m owed for each of the next three seasons factored in with diminished production and sub 6ft stature… I wouldn’t be surprised to see this be an anchor contract by year three.

I would be willing to consider Palat if the Devils sent their 2025 1st round pick with him. The Hawks flip a 2025 3rd or 4th round selection back to the Devils.

Exactly. Brady would be an excellent linemate to play alongside Jack. If Jack doesn't improve in the face-off circle, Brady is one of the best non-center forwards at winning face-offs. His grit (number of hits) would help on a line with Jack and a RW. Bratt, Hischier, and Meier need to stay together. Haula needs to center the 3rd line again imo. For Tkachuk, not sure if a package of 2024 1st (top 5 protected), Mercer, and Marino would not be enough, just right, or too much.

Tkachuk trade= god no. Keep celebrini if we win, he's a superstar. Jack+Mack would be crosby+malkin type stuff to go along with the rest of the core
Saros trade=Large overpay. Go pay a 2025 1st for Ullmark instead

Brady would worth a pick in the 4-6 range this year + 2nd rounder + decent young player. But at least 1 piece of the return would need to be something to build around
