No. Just no. Jones makes way too much. I know he plays for a bottom 5 team but his numbers the past few seasons haven't been anything special, and certainly don't scream "I'm worth 9 million". The Blackhawks would need to add Kurashev and retain at least 2 million on Jones if they wanted Willy.

Also you better delete that Markstrom trade before Flames fans get mad at you. SDA is a great player in the KHL, but he's 23 and unproven in the NHL.

Shouldn't be trading Jarnkrok if all your getting back is a 4th. Learned that mistake with Laferty.

Edmudson at 3 million is too much.

Nylander isn't waiving for Chicago and can't imagine the Hawks want anything to do with that extension anyway.

Can't see the hawks bringing in a guy just starting an 8 year deal at over 11 mil per. I think they avoid anyone over 10 mil and over 3 years left on the contract. Don't need bedard to see any 11.5 mil contracts coming in before he signs his next deal.

Leafs & Willy just agreed to a monster 8x$11.5M deal with full NMC but they both agree to move on before it even kicks in 🤯? he waives to go to the worst team in league (currently) 🤯🤯? And all the Leafs get back is one of the worst contracts in the league 🤯🤯🤯? Not your best effort

Actually defense is and has been for many years the Leafs biggest need. Mind you that's not entirely on the defensemen good team defense requires the forwards work hard to support the defensemen and help them prevent goals.
