Need to add a first to the wings deal to take on all of that.

Rising From the Ashes Testament to the Resilience Amidst NHL Draft Lottery Fall
It started with the 1st overall for their last dynasty. They won't be good for a 2 or 3 year span. But players will flock to the hawks because of the history as well as to play with a player of bedards talent. They also will probably win a top 3 pick at least once more in the next two drafts. Sad that the league wants these big markets to flourish when they just had a great team a few years ago. The wings were mediocre for 2 or 3 years before missing the playoffs. Wish Gary Bettman would stop fixing it to whatever he and his friends want. Can't have top talent going to Arizona or Columbus. That might build those markets to be more successful.

If I were Stevie y I'd wait to see who is available at 9. If no one he's in love with is around, pull the trigger.

Also if he says he wants to play closer to home, which I believe he stated somewhere I was told at one point, then his value wouldn't be all that high to other teams.
Debrincat cost a first, second and third. Berggren is around that value of a first. Husso probably gets at least a second right now, if you look at his stats and say he's not good, then you didn't watch him play. He was a stud until after the deadline when the team folded in front of him. Then I added a second for next year just for good measure.
This trade addresses their need for a goalie and replaces Debrincat with a good young high skilled player.</div></div>
Also for Husso, factor in he played most of our games. He was exhausted on top of the team getting worse from the deadline.

Exact same picks Ott paid. Granted the first is 11 spots back from what you guys paid. Also he still had a full year left on his contract when you traded for him.

The Nucks paid this price with a full year and then some of his contract left. Stevie traded him because he didn't want to pay his next contract and/or was offered something he couldn't refuse. We WILL NOT being paying the same price for an expiring contract.
Never mind, just saw the title.

Would rather trade the 24 Boston pick than the 23 NYI pick.

He definitely hit the sophomore wall this year, so I expect a Stutzle-like rebound 3rd season from him.</div></div>
I think Raymond will be a very good player. I'm not wanting to get rid of him. Not down on him because of his season. I just question what his ceiling is. Will he top 80 points on a great line? I'm 50/50 if he's capable of 80 plus points. Can he hit 30 plus goals? Connor is a proven goal scorer and has already put up points. So it's a tough call.

I would hope that Chevy (or his replacement) know the intentions of Scheifele and Helly prior to the draft, assuming PLD is gone as well. If they indicate they want out, jump start the rebuild now and maximize everyone’s value.</div></div>
Yeah it will be interesting to see how it unfolds. Wheeler is getting old. Would be smart to get the most for Connor now. Like you said who knows what helly is doing. PLD is gone. They have some very nice young pieces. But will be losing most of their top talent/ vets. It will take a few years for youth to step in and get acclimated. Will Connor stick around for his next contract? It's a pretty chaotic next 2 or 3 years for them to see where they are at.

If WPG were to move Connor, I'm gonna assume that means full rebuild but as mentioned above, I'm sure it would have to be a Kasper/Berggren/maybe even Raymond going back the other way? I wouldn't want to do that if I was DET.</div></div>
I really like Raymond and Berggren. But would package them both along with future picks. I would hate to see Kasper go unless we somehow ended up with a top 2 pick this year. I would not be willing to get rid of this year's 1st or Kasper. So like everyone is saying we don't have the pieces or aren't willing to part with what will be needed.

Maybe when he hits free agency he comes home. We just have too many holes still within the organization that need to be filled with those picks we have.</div></div>
Yeah, that makes perfect sense. My thought was if we got him now. He could build chemistry with larks and anyone else on the first line. Our Def will be learning but pretty decent in 2-3 years. Then when our experience and skill push us into the playoffs we look for those 2 or 3 toughness and special teams pieces we need. It's tough to find the big scorers/ top forwards available for trade.

That is what i figured. In that case, I'd rather wait a year or two. One, to see where Raymond improves to. Package him if he doesn't significantly improve. Two, we need to see what we have in up and coming forward prospects.

They currently only have Sandin under contract, but Fehervary and Alexeyev are both RFAs and will be re-signed, so the left side is full up. I can't see them trading down from 8 either. They're trying to compete while Ovie's still around, so they need high-end prospects more than filling out their system's depth. If they do trade the #8 it'd be in a trade for an elite young forward along the lines of last year's DeBrincat trade. I like Perron, but he's not that guy.</div></div>
So zadina?🤣

I think he is super lazy and such a waste of great talent. But dealing with one season of that overpaid bum is worth moving up in the draft. As well as getting a d spot open for people who deserve to be there.

IMO this is close. But his worst trades were trading Andrei Vasilevskiy pick for Kyle quincy. Also the Eric Cole and David legwand trades were pretty horrible at the time and even worse down the road! Both did little to help and we gave up two good prospects who have been middle 6 players since the trades. Also a pick that turned into roope hintz.

Yeah one more goal. And Larkin has 15 more assists on a much worse team. With 6 more games played.
With that being said as a detroit fan, half of these trades are way lopsided in detroits favor.

Wings Are NOT Buyers
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CD282</b></div><div>Agree on the Edmonton deal.
But not on the Carolina deal. That's WAY too much for a rental Larkin. Honestly I don't think Carolina would trade Jarvis for Larkin 1-for-1, let alone add these other pieces. Just looking at scoring rates:
D+2
Jarvis: 0.59 P/GP
Larkin: 0.56
D+3
Jarvis: 0.50 P/GP
Larkin: 0.40</div></div>
Jarvis is on an pretty stacked team. Larkin had no one aside from an old banged up zetterberg. Not comparable IMO.
