New idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BestGMBenning</b></div><div>Edmontons biggest problem last season was literally goaltending and defence. The acquisition of Campbell isn’t going to matter much if he doesn’t get that defensive support in the playoffs. You just completely ignored the Ruhwedel addition. He played 78 games this season and was easily one of Pittsburghs best defensive defencemen. He plays the top 6 very well and a strong penalty killer. That’s the guy to replace Barrie with. I don’t get why you’re so high on Barrie. It’s so funny it’s sad.</div></div>
That's exactly why Pittsburgh won't trade Ruhwedel for a 4th.
While I agree that Barrie isn't the best fit hockey wise and we need more of a shutdown dman for a smaller cap hit, I don't think he's gonna be traded anytime soon. If you deal Barrie you have to replace him and a replacement isn't easy to find at this time of the year (or do you think Subban is an upgrade over Barrie?). So you probably downgrade the blueline if you're not ready to pay up for a quality (and cheap) replacement.
And Barrie seems to be well liked in the locker room and brings post season experience and arguably a history of elevating his game during the post season. Foegele is more expandable given the depth of LWs.

There are reports out there saying the value of Pulijujärvi is a late 2nd/early 3rd. That's why I think that deal could happen and Bokk would just be a "bonus".
Tbh I would like to see a bigger return than that, but I'm not confident that the Oilers will get much more.

Because that trade here is just nuts, you can almost get Eichel for that package (I know STL still declines, because he's not avaiable).

2- He's a 30 yo still on a 3x3.2 who has only provided any value when a passenger with McD or Drai. Otherwise, he's basically useless. And no team that isn't swimming in free cap space will want anything to do with him. He has negative value like any other true cap dump.</div></div>
Thanks!
Apparently there are teams, who have at least a bit interest.
A true cap dump for me is a player who can't get in a NHL lineup (and I think Kassian is still capable of that). But like I said, with his contract, for me he has zero value (neither negative nor positive and if any, then slightly negative). But I guess, we'll never find a common ground on this, so let's just say: The Blues are never gonna take Kassian, because for them Kassian has truely a negative value!

First of all, Seattle was doing an expansion draft, not trading. Secondly, he was only left exposed in an attempt to protect Dunn. Thing the third, erm, did you see some of the dregs Francis picked in an effort to spend as little money as possible?
Dude, you have not even offered enough value here for anyone to take Kassian the human dump. The Blues are not taking that garbage contract, and they will be expecting a proper payment for their now-healthy star sniper, who apparently has suitors all over the place since his medical report got out.</div></div>
Can't find the medical report. Do you have the source?
btw: I know a lot of Oilers Fans (probably I included) overvalue Kassian, but you certainly undervalue him. A proper trade would look something like Kassian for future considerations, or MAYBE the Oilers have to add a late-round pick at worst. There are teams in the league who apparently like what he can bring (The Blues are not one of that teams, because you have a few players like him, just better players), and thats why, as an Oilers fan, you could hope that he brings you back a pick or something.

Yeah, I saw that answers too.
Obviously, I don't know much about the situation in Boston, but I looked at your depth chart, and...honestly...I don't know, it doesn't make any sense to me from a Boston perspective. I have no clue, why so many AGM make this trade other than that Debrusk is a local guy. I mean there were never serious rumors about such a trade.
That's why your answers always give me a little laugh.

Wow, didn't know that Savard was THIS bad. While I still don't completely agree with you, I can see your point and you're probably right that 5Mio is way to much for Savard.
But I think that the qualities of a shutdown defensemen are hard to quantify in numbers and sad but true I can see Holland overpay for a guy like Savard.

If you're correcting someone, at least do it right. Actually, Keith gets paid just about 5 Mio over the next 2 years. But, yeah, his cap hit sucks. I like the player and think he can perform as a 2LD. I don't like the trade nor the contract
Klefboms cap on LTIR gives the Oilers still a few opportunities. That being said, these opportunities are fading fast, if Holland overpays Hyman. 5x6Mio for him would just be that, so I just hope Holland stays away from Hyman.</div></div>

Hyman will probably get a contract around 5.5 Mio with more term. Something like 5x5.5 or so. For that amount of money, he'll stay a Leaf.

Hollands Road
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>oilsince95</b></div><div>This is my take too - my deal here isn't what I want in a perfect world, but if the Hawks apparently don't want retention, I'd hope at least Koskinen goes the other way. Combined with a Neal buyout and Koski gone, Keith at full cap for two years would be workable. But, ideally, Holland can grind the deal down with retention. Or, Keith is bought out by Chi, and we get him cheap on a 1 year since he apparently wants to come to the NorthWest.</div></div>
I've read that his contract (or some cap penalty) is nearly buyout-proof, so I don't expect that. It's more likely that he goes to SEA.
Btw.
I don't think Holloway will be in the starting lineup on opening night, I see him more as a mid-season call-up. But I like that Hollway-McLeod-Yamamoto Line tho
