1 key thing here though when JD played RW
nick ritchie and an injured coyle were his linemates
marchy and bergy are a very very very big increase in skill level and he probably won't struggle with them no matter where he is lined up

Vilardi
No rush on moving Vilardi just yet. However, the kings would package him for two types of players with term. Established top-pair LD or a legit top line winger. So they would do it if they could get a Chychrun type player but, prospect for prospect, I don’t see that.

No matter what huh? Because there’s never been a surprising run before? Kings didn’t win as an 8 seed. Columbus didn’t beat Tampa. Never happens. No matter what. The games played on paper.
Grow up. Turn off the tv if that’s the way you think about the sport. Basketball seems to be a better fit for you.

What other pieces do you have to get him? I chose Lundkvist because I thought he was the most reasonable out of them all. All the other prospects below him would be of little interest.
Pavelski is playing like one of the best RW in the league right now, he’s not gonna be cheap to have hypothetically.

Stars aren’t going to be sellers even if it’s the best option.
Hypothetically speaking from the Rangers I’d like Lundkvist + 1st (we could add little pieces to make it go through), for Boston it’d be Studnicka + 1st and conditional 3rd (upgrades to 2nd if they make it to the 3rd round), for Nashville there is not many prospects of interest so can’t see a deal there, and Minny it’d be Beckman, a 1st and a conditional 3rd (same as the Boston one).
Obviously 50% retention will be included to up the value.

And I’m not saying NSH doesn’t need him or is even thinking about moving him. Simply what’s a return for him look like?
1st, 1st, 2nd and top prospect?
Or do they want top line forward or top line dman for him with a picks?
<strong>18 barrels of whiskey and bar full bridesmaids????</strong></div></div>
All you need is for Poile to fall, hit his head, and think he's in a different century and you have yourself a deal!
If Nashville were forced to trade him, I think it would be for a top forward and a couple 1st round picks or top prospects.

Toffoli brought back a 1st, a 5th, an interesting prospect drafted in the 2nd round just last draft in Emil Heinenman, plus an expiring contract in T.Pitlick(1.75M). Kappy cheaper and younger.
Kappy playing poorly and still .75PPG last season and .5PPG this season. Let him get hot for acouple weeks or a month and he’s a 20 goal scorer again.
Everyone talks sh*t on Kappy, does a trade for him and then immediately inserts him on their teams 2nd Line..lol. His floor and ceiling are both high.
Since they traded a 1st(15th overall) and a prospect just a year and a half ago for him. If they don’t get a 2nd and a (B, B-) prospect back, it’s a bad deal for them. And I doubt they do anything less than a prospect and a 2nd.
Because he’s in the doghouse, playing ok, making too many turnovers, and got moved down to the 3rd line tonight. Fans think he’d can be had for their garbage.
Sullivan is just a ballsy coach. Moving Carter onto Geno wing and Kappy to the 3rd line back with E-Rod(who were playing ridiculous earlier this year together) is a good move. Just a line shake-up.

There was news in October, before he returned to KHL, about Rangers shopping him for 2nd round pick. It read more like “Rangers shopping Kravtsov, expected return is 2nd” so kind of unclear if that was a bid price or the ask price. Either way, a deal didn’t get done, so I would guess it’s 2nd or possibly 3rd now.

Realistically looking at his point production and considering san jose isn't the strongest team i wouldn't be against a 2nd+3rd for him if picks are in different years</div></div>
Barby plays both wings
He is not a defensive specialist, he doesn't shy away from defense just isn't good at it.
He is not physical but is not afraid of the corners and absorbs a lot of punishment and bounces right back. He is a strong forechecker despite his size.
His vision and hands are top notch/borderline elite.

Monahan doesnt really seem like a Boston kinda player to me and idk the wild may struggle to fit him in the cap. A couple other options just looking at current roster needs would probably be Ottawa or Columbus. Also with Philly losing Giroux maybe they would need more help down the middle although We dont want that cuz then gaudreau will for sure want to go down there to be with his friend.

Yeah - you wont win many Bruins offers, everyone seems to think that Lysell is the only player of value that the Bruins can offer to anyone. I guess they will just have to be on the look out for getting a deal like Hall and Lazar for Bjork and 2nd round pick (oh wait that would never happen in the forums, only in real life)

Kubalik Decision Read Description
There is no point signing him to a 1 year deal, and I'd argue a 2 year deal either.
You are just walking him to FA.
The question of is he worth a 4M+ cap hit and the answer to that right now is no.
So you want to move him at TDL but honestly, who's going to engage in that? There are a half dozen other forwards out there that will be moved prior, the market just isn't that deep of teams looking to spend assets at TDL. 1/2 the teams in don't add, of the other half, half of them are just adding defense.
You might see 4-6 teams add a forward, odds are the caliber of the forward they add is better.
So I don't see TDL being a viable solution.
I think at the end of the day the question has to be reworded.
It's not a question about Kubalik it's a question about 4M in cap space.
Can you do better in FA with 4M cap space, bringing in a guy who is roughly the same age 27.
If you can do better, than what difference does it make to let him walk? There is a very real cost in keeping a guy who's not worth his cap hit.
He got a show me deal, that was back loaded on purpose. He did not show anything. Signing him to another 2 year deal putting him back in the same exact position isn't going to change anything.
forwards peek at 27, you got half of his best years, and frankly, they aren't great the last 2. So it's not like you are looking at a guy who is 20.
What you see is what you get, and I wouldn't pay 4M for what you're getting.

Kubalik Decision Read Description
It depends what the next gm decides to do with the team. If they think they can compete next year with some tweaks then you resign kubalik. Hawks can't afford to lose a goal scorer.
If they want to retool/rebuild (for real this time) they need to trade him. His value varies but I don't think they'd get a 1st rounder for him. At the same time I wouldn't trade him for any less than a 2nd.

Phhhhhhh. A supreme top line center? He’s a low end top line center when he’s playing his best hockey, which luckily he is now.
This package is north of a 1st and an A prospect.
Also why the hell do people say facts after saying something that is literally not a fact. That is your subjective opinion. Be better. “Facts.”

This is an okay hockeydb summary. Sort of.
Debrusk for all his slumps has a career 82 game average of 22-22-44. He’s been playing great (seriously, he’s been buzzing. Seven points in 11 or so games i want to say, but good all around game)
Moore isn’t even a 7th d man. He stinks. Pure cap dump.
Studnicka has actually looked pretty darn good at the NHL level. The bruins allergy to injecting youth continues, this is nothing new.
So no, once again, your opinions are inherently not facts. Does someone need to teach you what that word means?
Either way, find me instances of rentals going for this much. I’ve already done the work for you, so I know you’re not going to come back with much. Rick Nash is probably your best bet. Widely viewed as a preposterous overpay, and at least Nash had a boat load of 40 goal seasons on his resume. Your, “supreme,” which, while we’re on the topic of definitions you should probably learn, first line center is 32nd in points among centers over the past five years (the best of his career). 35th in points per game. 353rd in plus minus.
Yikes.
