<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ABOVEAVERAGEHOCKEYFAN</b></div><div>RIP Toronto’s chances for a cup</div></div>
rip's toronto cup chances the day they signed tavares to 11m a yr . i like tavares dont get me wrong. cap hit does not match the talent level. defensive liability .
TT if he can get over his injuries and reach his potential. risto cleaned up his game last yr playing along side a 1 D he could match well on the right with either reilly or muzz if those happen toronto wins the trade. still nylander is a beast.

Matt Murray deal
edmonton loses or wins tough to call this trade . larsson is way better then johnsson which is not hard to do. neal is a goal scorer. caps cancel out so johnsson in larsson and neal out murray and koski goal tandem both 1B goalie have to sign murray at im guessing 5/25 -30 end up costing more. maybe put johnsson in minor , that saves cap space . then fill out in house.. edmonton is a bubble team .. best thing that could happen to them out of playoff contension at the trade deadline .. make 9 trades for prospects. clear the dead weight. which goalie do they protect from seattle . i think it could work as a worse case deal. RNH need resigned Ky needs rfa deal. this could work if johnsson to the minors is a option. lots of room to give the kids in the minors a chance to prove themselves.

Arizona getting out of financial commitments
i think arizona wins this hands down. i can easily see them turning johnsson bracco and kerfoot right around in more trades. andersson could also be flipped.
at best arizona is a bubble team most likely outside looking in.

Off the board 3 way trade
as this trade stands edmonton is the big loser here. andersson is most definately and upgrade in goal. to give up a 1st in a draft this deep i want guarenteed trade and sign deal then have a trade set up for koski cap space if a major issue for edmonton. they dont have the luxury of 9m cap hit for goalies. edmonton is pretty deep in D prospects. im not sure POJ is who they would want. those 2 issue aside this trade is decent. leafs and pens are hopping on board this before the ink is wet.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hockey_GoDz</b></div><div>i cant decide who wins this trade. fleury HUGE upgrade in goal. but the available goalie market is also huge this year. gaudreau will leave via FA market next year anyway, glass is high end center prospect.
very interesting trade, i dont see it being pulled off. nice effort on this one. does address both teams needs. divisional rivals. flames most likely will not find a buyer for gaudreau and will get nothing for him when he leaves via FA next year. and i think FA goalie market is flames best chance to make a major upgrade in goal. also the flames have a ton of work to do with their own UFA and RFA's .</div></div>
my bad gaudreau has 2 yrs left. even harder to tell who wins . i would have to go calagary winning this trade. based on cap and glass. lehner and fleury is just too much to spend on goal. vegas is exempt from seattle entry draft so they do NOT need to figure a way to send someone.

If not, no pick is moved. AGAIN, the Penguins also retain 50% of his Nick's salary. BARF!!!
Either, his injuries are SO BAD and SO SEVERE that the Penguins feel bad and are sending him home to Minnesota so he can live and be paid and then just retire and call it a day. Who knows at this point but we are NOT even guaranteed the 7th round pick in this deal. Mindnumbing!</div></div>
at least if he is injured and doesnt play the 2m retained will turn into 0 retained..

Kesler for Eriksson
im 50% on kesler being on LTIR for the rest of his contract .. and most importantly anaheim has zero cap space and still needs to sign a back up .. so they are gonna have to move a player to get under the cap .. so they can sign a back up.

3 team trade

if andersson had more then 1 yr left then maybe he would be worth a 1st .. but as is toronto will be lucky to get a Rd and anything else for him.. no team would give up a 1st for 1 yr rental at goalie position. unless guarenteed resign. 12 to 14 goalies that will possible be available fa ufa cap reason .. so FA and lesser trades. market flooded and with likely cap frozen at 81.5m for next yr and very likely the following year also ... so i dont see goalies having huge cap hits maybe 2 of them get the boom contracts the rest prob get mid range .. but it also could go exact opposite way with the condensed schedule expected for next year and the olympics on top of that the market could go wild .. it will definate be interesting .. next yr will be very important to have that high end back up ..

Carolina fills their only real need
over pay by pens bean has promise but he is pretty much a throw in also he 10th on depth chart at D geekie is to big of a spare part throw in ..1st off carolina unless they can trade one or both reimer mzarek .... 6.5 mil tied up in those 2.. next yr and then both done.. this trade does them no good they do need to consider who is future goalie but they need top 6 and their cap is not really an issue 32m they can dump off either sign lehner or holtby draft askarov work a trade D for top 6 F resign players that need it and still have some cap space left . if they see murray as the future they want.
if im the pens take out the pick and push bjugstad into the trade .. murray and a dump for 2 prospects. definate nope on this one ...

had to go with the wings winning this trade but neither teams wins in this trade because to the money retained . despite the wings being in rebuild mode .. u have to put the best team u can out there and oel has a lot of good yrs left but still way to much to give up in picks .. too much rambling... both lose.. ari loses to much money retained .. detroit loses too many picks going out ..

not sure about the pieces wash is sending back .. ovi needs resigning other then that wash looks to be able to fill any holes from prospects .. Goalie and 3/4 D seem to be washington only holes to fill ...

WPG acquires a RD
both make good points about the players u like .. ehlers is not to shabby of a top 6 depends on who he is with. same can be said of risto. he is only 25 and despite playing in buffalo with what 5 coaches in 7 yrs since his 1st nhl season in the last 5 yrs he has put up at least 33 pts with 45 being his tops with a more established team . he could very well fit that 2d slot that he has filled in buffalo for the last 7 yrs.. great size and mobility . still very young as far as dmen go.. i dont think losing ehlers would hurt winnipeg at all. this could work for both teams but if winnipeg is truly shopping ehlers they could possible get more and then go after one of FA D this year.. vatanen comes to mind or tj brodie.

more then enough .. i would have liked to put something else into the mix for pitts maybe a pick from ottawa 2nd or 3rd .. but this fits all 3 teams needs. ottawa gets a mentor pens get decent not great return for murray.. toronto gets rid of andersson and gets murray ..
