I don’t think it’s mean at all. You currently have one member resigning as a result of being fed up with the rest of you. There’s internal conflict within the BOG group. The Commissioner is nowhere to be seen. Many of the decisions and actions throughout the last little while have resulted in displeasure by GMs and some quality league members considering retirement. I think HallforHart has every reason to stand by his comment - shouldn’t you know best that just because an opinion is unpopular, it doesn’t make it mean?

Interesting situation going here.. Very interesting...

Yes, that is how it works as the trade in it's entirty is considered to be one transaction.

Say Seattle only has one trade left. They want to trade player A to Houston for player B, and they want to trade player C to Kansas City for player D. They could make a 3-way trade that sends player A and a 7th round pick to Houston for player B and a 7th round pick, when Seattle would then trade the 7th rounder from Houston, to Kansas City with player C, in exchange for player D and another 7th round pick. All it would do is swap picks plus do exactly what Seattle wanted to do with 2 trades, even though this is 2 completely different trades put in to one.

If I interpret your message correctly, you’re saying that if other parties just swap 7th round picks, they can “cheat” the system into making it a 3 way.

I’m under the impression that a 3 way deal must involve all parties involved trading at least one contract piece to each other party.

I'm not sure I understand your example. If I'm reading it correct, you are inferring that it's only the picks being swapped between all three teams, which if that's how you mean it, it has no bearing on this being a 3-way since we've long established that moving picks doesn't count toward trade limits.

I'm pretty sure something has to be exchanged between all teams in regards to contracts as mentioned in the post above mine.

So team A gets Joe, Jim and 1st from team B
Then Team A sends Jim to team C who now sends Jeff to team B
Something like that. Hope that helps since it's hard to envision without it being more realistic.
But basically ALL teams must be receiving something in the overall deal.

Hey there Commish and the BOG,

After combing through the official trade pages, it appears FLA has used up all of their 12 offseason trades while NJD has only completed 4. Given this I'd prefer to take over the Devils as it would give me a chance to put my stamp on the team.

Thanks, Always

I'm not sure how far along the search for replacement GMs of New Jersey and Florida, but I want to make sure that the BOEG is reminded and aware that I hired an AGM earlier this summer. I wanted to make sure that it is known that he is around and if there is still time to consider him, I'd be glad to drop his handle to allow y'all to further speak to him about potentially becoming a full time GM.

It's unanimous that you deserve a team. Go ahead and create your team. Nice to see you back after a year! wink

You can check the trades forum, I received it from NJD, and he didn't update his page. He later traded it too Booth. In the end, I had possession of the pick until it was traded to @Max. rock on

No, i'm saying i know Max was joking around, but why would you trade a 6th rounder for a 7th rounder in the same year?

Because one GM thinks it's entertaining to collect 7th round picks, and another thinks it's entertaining to prevent that GM from collecting all of those 7th round picks.
If it was something of higher value, it would probably be grounds for removal, but nobody cares to argue principle over a 7th round pick.

In addition, in our draft the difference is even more pointless. Could easily get the same player in the 6th round or the 7th.
