Depends on if Columbus gm gets canned with a playoff miss and a full rebuild after multiple ufas walk or not, and probably still don’t move jones

Nothing.... he’s not moving..... if anyone on Columbus is untouchable it’s Jones.... but if you want to ask RNH, 2019 1st, 2020 1st, And one of Yamamoto or Puljujarvi at least.

Reminder you’re asking for a top 5 RHD and he’s under 25 on a very cap friendly contract....

Might as well be the value of McDavid. He's invaluable. Every player has a price yes, but that price doesn't need make sense. It'll cost more than what Jones is really worth. So whats the point? Unless you like overpaying?

Who said anything about Drai for Jones? I'm simply saying the cost to get Jones would be more than what Edm should be willing to give up. If they agree to that crazy value then they are... well.. stupid. And vice versa for Edm trading Draisaitl.....

Draisaitl and McDavid are untouchable. There isn't an offer that a team would realistically make that makes sense for the Oilers.

Not only is he unreal, he is underpaid for his value.
Definitely a sign he is a big time team player and wants to win with good talent around him, not break the bank and play with a bunch of
"role" players.

Even Jones is moved for equal playing value how does it help the Oilers? Plus Jones is just three year rental. For the Oilers to be trading a lottery pick seems unwise. Jones might be traded to a contender who can use his help immediately, if he's traded at all.
CBJ will have cap because they can't resign Panarin, and shouldn't resign Duchene and Bobrovsky.

i would not trade Leon straight up for jones. Goals are still the hardest thing to get in the NHL.
Top pairing D men ( not all as good as Jones are attainable)
Drai is 23- he is about to score 50 and break 100 points. He is 23 on an 8.5M caphit. The cap hit is already a bargain. It will be a steal in 2 years.

non starter.

And I love Seth Jones.
