He’s always been a high risk high reward defenseman and he doesn’t have a safety net of a stay at home partner anymore and lost his spot on the pp1, so the rewards haven’t been there but the risks remain. He might be the only Leafs player that’s looked worse since the coaching change. But have to cut him a little slack on the Mcdavid undressing, because I mean it’s freaking Mcdavid. That kids pretty good if you haven’t noticed

Exactly. Great game overall but watching the game...have no skin in it being a Hawks fan...it's clear how good McDavid is and a big difference between him and Matthews who is great player (top 15 in the NHL)...McDavid is simply on another level and a reason why he's the best player in the NHL.

Well that 1 move by McDavid is just well its McDavid. The move was pretty incredible to watch not many defense could stop it. As for Rielly in general he, like many other players overachieved last year. He is still a solid offensive defenseman but hes not at the same level as someone like Carlson.

Pretty much this about Rielly...hes what he always has been....two-way Winger playing D and as much as we mocked and b.tched over Hainsey for two Seasons yet now is showing how much work old man has done on that 1st Pair. Check them homers coming with : Rielly is playing injured......

McDavids goal ? Comeon, nothing special, he just tricked him with no-look and now everybody is yelling GOAL OF THE YEAR......Svechnikov's Lacrosse ones contain more skill then that one.......on top of few others.....

I agree but that move would've worked on about 95% of NHL defensemen.

Thats the Toronto media for you, only the best move/ goal of the season could get past Rielly and Hutch.

Tessa Virtue broke him LOL..

no seriously, he is likely playing through some injury. It would be the best explanation. He looks half the quality of what he was last season.

Dubas should be fired, Keefe with him and trade everyone. There is no chance we can win and let's burn the town down. You guys are all just silly. Quiet as can be when TO has points in 9 straight and now piping off like you're the smartest person in the room with your told you so's. What a joke.
