I would want Connor, or Huberdeau, but people wants too much for them. Saad could be good, but I would rather not give up our first for him. I wonder if he would accept an extension of 5-5.5M..

Barzal would've been a pretty good right winger

I think Saad would be great next to McDavid. Great 200 foot game and he can finish. Hawks would probably take this deal too if the 2020 1st rounder is in play. You could probably have the extension for less AAV

Ennis has taken team friendly deals on his last two contracts with the Leafs and Sens. 100 percent he gets something close to that number.

yeah I would think you could pull off a 7x5.5 maybe, hes 27 so this is probably his last big contract. I like the deal

It’s definitely a good idea. Saad isn’t as good as Jake but he’d still be a good winger for Edmonton

You could have Kyle Connor if Nuge is coming the other way or Bouchard

I would say Kapenan as he can play top 6 and is only being held back cause lets face it we got Nylander and Marner on RW. He is good at both ends and with a cap hit of 3.2 mill gives the oilers room to maneuver.Plus put Athanasiou and u got the rocket line. To bad they got nothing we want or if we do its not available.

Saad will cost EDM a 1st probably a non-starter for Holland. He also won't take less than the 6 he's making. Any top 6 winger isn't cheap

The Oilers best chance is to find that player through the draft like the Penguins did.

Clear cap and look for a shooter like Hoffman in the off season. Dont think Edmonton is ready to be giving up young pieces yet that will be more valuable on a ELC

No thanks I would give Nurse and Puljujarvi which we might have to add a little more if we do then not much, in my opinion but not Nuge, or Bouchard.

yeah I thought about Kappy, but I tried to get a good 2 way guy with good vision. Kappy would be good as well but idk if he would have as much chem with McDavid

Kap worked well with every center he has worked with from Boyle-Matthews so I could see it working out with Mcdavid. Even some sports analysts said Edmonton should make a pitch for him as they said the numbers Kap produces would be perfect for Mcdavid. If a trade could happen I feel toronto would want bear to come back but Oilers have no one to replace him so i just dont see it happening. If Kap for bear could happen I would be all for it.

I'm still looking for McDavid's Guentzel. Do you get him the year after this?

Saad is over rated.
He's a solid RW, but he's no where near elite.
Not even a top 20 winger.

Sounds a lot like... NUGENT-HOPKINS. So maybe Athanasiou plays on Draisaitl's wing. We all know he's not a center, so it's worth a shot.

That's fair, but Jake doesn't produce without Sid or Geno either. Not to say 59's overrated, but if Saad were in his shoes he's perform better

what evidence is there of any of that?
You can't be carried to 40 goal back to back seasons.
It simply doesn't work that way. If you could, the penguins would be trading out bum wingers for huge returns after making them 40 goal guys consistently.

there's tons of evidence. Sullivan's tried to put him at 3C multiple times and he just doesn't produce there.

Jake at 3C?
Yeah there is no ton of evidence of any of that. And I do know, I have seen every single game he's played as a penguin.

On top of it he's not a center, he's a winger. So you can stop making things up as you go.
