Still more moves to be made, but getting the 15th pick and Hallander is a insane return for a guy that is going to disappoint Pens fans.

Kap has been way overrated on here IMO, but that said, next to Crosby he may blow up

isnt this the opposite of a classic dubas trade as his trade record has been poor since becoming full GM

Doubt that, Kap doesn't have a good shot, but he could nail 50+ points.

Andreas Johnsson is next. I would expect a similar return, even though I know so many people around these AGMs, like they did with Kapanen, think Johnsson is only worth a 2nd or a 3rd.

Not sure about the goals, but the gritty 2 way side of his game could let Crosby go 100+points and guentzel break 80+

I do fear that he'll drop 60 points beside Crosby and Dubas will look stupid. But a good fleecing nonetheless for now

To be fair marleau was a cap dump and his others were mostly fixing lous messes (zaitsev, martin, also again marleau)

But he has had some good ones
Muzzin trade
2 Pittsburgh trades

Only trade that I regret is kadri but if it wasn't for Babcock barrie would have had 8 goals and 45 assists in a full season under keefe

Muzzin trade was great for the leafs. The Barrie kerfoot trade could have been better if Barrie didn’t suck so bad at hockey. But it was still a good move and a tough one on Dubas’ part. Kadri has to go and leafs needed to get back an rhd and a 3c. So think he did well in that respect.

Then making markeau disappear to sign marner. No one thought it could be done. But he convinced a gm to take his full cap hit and agree to buy him out.

Ironically Carolina asked marleau if he wanted to play for them he said no so they bought him out. So they were going to use him if he wanted to lul

A lot of players don't, but I get what you mean. Still I think Kapanen has another gear to him and while this is a fleecing right now I could easily see Kapanen doing much better than people seem to think

The Ceci trade was a pretty big train wreck
That was more than fixing, back fired completely

I don't think he has to change it I just think he needs to refine it a bit. No better guy to learn the details from than Crosby

Muzzin trade was good, fair market value for him. They did give up the pick that became Bjornfot + other prospects which are looking pretty good. Ill call that a win for Dubas

Kadri-Barrie trade was a complete loss for Dubas, no way around that

Marleau dump was also a complete loss for Dubas - especially since it ended up as the 13th overall pick

props to him on the Kapanen deal though. Thats a huge return for him

I mean they would have been stuck with Zaitsev for like 4 more years so its not so bad. Though I do miss Brown

Just did more harm than good when it probably was over complicated with too many pieces

In hindsight the Kadri trade was a loss but what else has been bad? Moving Marleau was a necessity due to Lou's idiotic contract, same with Zaitsev. So one trade didn't pan out while everything else was either necessary or a clear cut win. Yeah he's so bad.

He is going to disappoint, he just doesn't have the mindset to succeed. To score 30 he'll need 100 breakaways on the year. Because he can't really score any other way.
