So you’re saying that Detroit gives Kubalik back when Seabrook goes permanently on LTIR or 3 years? How do they enforce that condition?

Yeah Detroit's not giving up basically a late 1st for that, If we move the #32 pick and Edmonton's to to get a pick in the 20's not to take on the horrible Seabrook contract.

It's not a condition, just a thought process. No way Seabs plays the rest of his contract out. I'd give him 2 more years before LTIR, a max of 3.

I agree with that, but what would force Detroit to give Kubalik back? Unless you’re not suggesting that and I misunderstood

So kubalik is like an indentured servant or something. Do we get to make him work at a Little Caesar's in the offseason too sweep up the doughjoe after practice

It's unfortunate, but Seabs will be LTIR. Triple surgery and 35 years old today with 1200+ games played. We need to be cap compliant day 1 and we'll see what happens.

Kubalik is the #1 find of the year in the NHL; out of nowhere the Hawks find this kid and sign him. We got LUCKY!

That makes so much more sense. When I read the description I was pondering how you could have a condition of returning a player after 3 years. Would you say this is fair value on the trade? It’s definitely an interesting proposal.

Yes, LA, but table scraps for him. LA had no idea what they had on their hands obviously.

Looking at it now, I could have worded it better... As for the value it depends on what we do with the cap.

I kind of assumed all Detroit players delivered Little Caeser's in the offseason, and threw an octopus on top when someone ordered 3 or more large pizzas.

I don’t think that Seabrook deal is moved, but man, Kubalik and Zadina together would be fun.
