There's a lot more than points that are considered when evaluating defenseman. A lot more than minutes and +/- too.

I would rather have the 4th best offensive defenseman than some guy who plays defense

Goalies exist to stop pucks not skaters

I wouldn’t. So you expect goalies to stop 50 shots? Come on man! There’s a reason why it’s called defence. They need to block shots.
