Exactly. No logical Wings fan is upset that we're not taking on a long term cap dump. We just weren't going to take it for less than a hefty price, one that Tampa no longer has to pay, so win-win for all involved.

Wings fans' asking price is high is mostly because nobody wants Johnson. He was available for FREE and nobody took him. If the Wings don't take him at all, they're better off in the long term.
So, Tampa may have gained some time and a bit of leverage, but Johnson's trade value is still at an all time low.
