Spezza fought someone who never fights. Let's see him fight Clifford next. You don't win with Spezza, Mikheyev, Nylander, and Vesey on your team. The Leafs will overachieve this season by missing the playoffs

How does this trade benefit Tampa? Kerfoot makes more then Coleman and Paquette combined.

Spezza was fantastic last year. Did I watch different games or something? I thought it was a bargain to have Spezza resign. Let alone for league minimum.

For years we have seen obscene posts about the Leafs trading their stars for bottom end RHD. Now it seems the Leafs need a bunch of 3rd and 4th liners as difference makers. Check Paquette's and Anderson...do you really think they are difference makers in the playoffs?

Both trades are just bad for many reasons

Josh Anderson had 27 goals because he mostly played with Panarin and PLD when he was with the jackets. I dont see him even reaching that with Montreal and even if he did aint worth moving younger 30 goal Nylander and a pick yikes. I know Montreal got robbed moving Domi for him and they even gave a pick but were not interested in bad contracts.

As for the tampa trade. Tampa aint moving Coleman as rn he, goodrow and gourde make one of the best 3rd lines in the NHL both offensively and defensively.

31 goals in exchange for 1... gee, sweet deal bud. You can find grit in your cheaper players, you don't trade your stars for glorified third liners

Spezza isn't soft. Mikheyev is on a sweet deal.

William insaneproductionandpossesionlander

People who can't appreciate Nylander don't watch Leafs games closely enough, or don't know enough about the game to appreciate what he does.

If the Leafs' fans who bash Anderson knew a single thing about him they wouldn't need to lie about him constantly. Anderson essentially never played with Panarin when he scored 27 goals. Scored his goals playing with Jenner and Foligno and played on the second PP. Josh will do far better in Montreal in a more offensive role, and will be destroying Toronto once again.

It is possible that CBJ might have traded Anderson for Nylander and a 4th. Montreal certainly would never consider trading Anderson for Nylander. Anderson is exactly what they need. Nylander is exactly what they don't need.

Tampa won't trade Coleman and Paquette and Toronto will not pay what it costs to get those types of players who would actually make them competitive.

I am not a William Bystander fan. But Josh Andersen for him? And a fourth? Really? How does that possibly benefit the leafs. I’d rather shelter Nylander on a line with Hyman and have him play his I can only pass to Matthews game. Josh Anderson lol. Wow.

he played with them in 17-18. his stats are pretty stagnant regardless of who he plays with tbh

16-17 with 12min a night w/ mostly calvert/karlsson
EV: 16-7-4 (27p) | 78gp
No powerplay time

17-18 with 18min a night w/ mostly panarin/dubois
EV: 17-4-4 (25p) | 63gp
PP: 1-0-2 (3p)

18-19 with 17min a night w/ mostly jenner/foligno
EV: 20-7-6 (33p)| 82gp
PP: 3-1-4 (8p)

he played about 16min average this year across 26 games and registered a goal and 2 assists (primary/secondary each) and a mystery primary assist that I can't seem to find what strength he scored it at lol

he definitely pulled his own weight in the 18-19 year, but ngl his goal to assist ratio reminds me of somebody else

98f5ce4dda1b498ad973dc944ad44d3c.png

let's hope history doesn't repeat itself for montreal, i do like josh anderson, i just hope he's healthy and his random 30 goal campaign, assisted by powerplay time with some superstars isn't a fluke

Torts like to shift lines and when players get productive he moves em to the top 2 as a reward. Kind of like keefe giving Spezza every know and again a top 6 spot when he did well. When he had 27 goals a good portion were with Panarian and Dubois and the rest were with folingo, dzingel, Jenner or just empty netters. Just cant see him reaching that even if he is put with Suzuki or Kokenemi. He may get back to 30 points but that aint worth 5.5mill

he did lul just not all the time. But most of his production was when he played with Dubois or Panarin and the ironic thing is that line only was out 0.93% for the season but during the playoffs that rose to 4.09%.

WN had a tremendous assist in the Leaves valient effort against SuperStar goalie David Ayres last season. If anything, he deserves a raise!

I hate leaf fans and laugh at most of their idiotic posts on here, so here I am laughing at you thinking TOR should trade Nylander. Nylander is right behind Matthews on the “do not trade” list.
