Virtanen and Bennet have virtually the same numbers. Jake is bigger and perhaps faster. If Calgary sweetened the deal just a bit then maybe?

Not a single one of those teams are front runners for Sam Bennett, And besides how's Bennett any better off on any one of those teams then Calgary?

I think I’d want Virtanen, Connolly, or Rakell (obviously not all of these would be straight up) for Bennett. Not really interested in trading a playoff performer for futures while we have a shot at contending. I think Virtanen’s the best fit because he’s exactly what Calgary’s looking for (physical right shot winger that can score) and maybe going back to where he played in junior will motivate him and help fix his effort problems. This would also likely be a straight up swap, equal cap hits, which is nice for both sides. Both players would benefit from the change of scenery.

I really dont see the fit with us. I like him but if I were to go for a wing from the flames who could be realistically acquired I honestly got to go with our former leaf buddy Josh Levio. Keefes system is perfect for him

But honestly if Im Dubas at the deadline and I still want wing help I got 3 players in mind (teams chosen will probs miss playoffs)

I think one of the teams in a COVID shutdown are the frontrunners. The trade was ready to happen (it's when Bennett was scratched) but got put on hold until the outbreak is contained/cleared.

If playing for his hometown team doesn't motivate him I don't know what will. Physicality is just not there anymore tbh.

I would say remove the 2nd but in order for Ada for Bennet to go through you need salary retention on Ada.. that’s worth the upgrade from the 4rh to the 3rd

So there is no retention on this post. Rangers are somehow getting Bennett and higher picks for ADA(we plan to buy him out). I'm saying that you could remove all picks from this post and NYR accept.. with out a doubt..
