I would have gone with DeMelo for the Jets as he was touted as the player who would provide stability to the top pair (with Morrissey) and well... DeMelo has been on the 3rd pair for most of the season.

Kadri annoys people, but you can't use that as an argument in favor of him not being good? He helped transform Colorado from team solidly in the playoffs to the juggernaut of the league. He's a legit 1C who's never gotten that recognition because Toronto sucked when he was there, and he's pinned behind MacKinnon - probably the best C in the league.

Hischier has superb defensive metrics, which is something that apparently only applies after narrative has decided someone is Selke-worthy. He's also a solid driver of offense. I'd fit both him and Kadri on my top 30 C list.

I've never seen anyone call him a top 20 winger. I think you're confusing it with DeBrusk coming into the season had been one of the top 20 goal scoring LW's in the NHL over the last 3 years. That was actually a fact, but that's not calling him a top 20 winger. As for his value, look at it from Boston' s view. They don't need to move him, he's under team control after his contract is up and he's having the worst year of his career. Unless they're going to get an upgrade on DeBrusk or fill another void, there is zero reason to move him. Looking at his career numbers, his p/gp put him at just shy of a 50pt pace prior to this season. This year being his down year, he'd be on pace for just shy of 35pts over 82 games. He's still just 24yrs old and still a few years away from his prime.
