It depends, if it’s like 6.5 x 7 then yeah, but I’d take hyman at 5.5 x 7 over goodrow s contract and it’s not close. Hyman is a high end 2nd liner , goodrow is a 4th liner

Overpayment imo. I like his playing Style but 6 years for a bottom 6 player isn't a good investment

I was expecting 2.5x3

No GM is perfect. But Gorton had a ok tenure generally. Def an overpay but the guy had 50pts - as usual some GM was gonna pay for that consistency (when it was a break out hoping it wasn’t). Gorton definitely wasn’t the worst GM but obvi wasn’t the best. Just thinking I don’t believe Goodrow would have been a 3.6m priority for him. I’m a Goodrow fan but max I woulda done is 1.975 x 8 or 2.5 x 6 (which both are very aggressive).

Yeah I’m literally a huge Goody fan but anything over 2 was getting near an overpay. Hitting 3 is horrifying and than 3.6 x 6? That’s just Goodrows or his agent FLEXING on Drury

I love seeing the Rangers future get ruined. They have so many bad contracts. Trouba, Kreider, soon-to-be Goodrow, and all of their buyouts.
