His old bridge deal got him about $4,127,299

Well, given that he has the same tax rate as Stamkos (I think you said 40.78%), that sounds about right. Still, not nearly as much as the original 9.5 million sounds.

This may be a dumb question but how do you @ someone and how do you post an image without it just having the link you have to copy and paste?

Have we considered that rich people can afford to pay accountants who can figure out a way to make them pay no taxes lol

Just type @ and then their username. For the image, click the thing with a mountain in it (just left of the youtube symbol, two to the left of the twitter bird) and paste the image’s link there.

Sure there are tax write offs but many taxes are set and trying to cheat them often ends up going badly for the person/s involved

We also got to consider how much are these players paying these accountants and other personnel they hire (i.e. agents, chefs, private trainers, etc.). Many of which dont come cheap

In general we often look at the cap hit and go this guys making to much but once we go through the fine details (specifically taxes and payments) many of these players maybe will get half of it

It’s Landeskpg who has only ever played with Colorado so probably had to pick from his junior team. Not to mention that only two years ago, Skinner was a beast

Is it theoretically possible to win back-to-back Calders? Say there was a lockout which caused a 48 game season and a goalie played 24 games and wins the Calder. The next year, he technically has never played 25 games in a season so is he still Calder eligible?

I'm not 100% sure but I think Jake Allen had a lot votes in two straight seasons.

Yup he got 2 votes in 12-13 and 10 in 14-15 which is even weirder cause he played in the AHL in 13-14. Hope somebody goes back to back one year

*Belarus needs to win in regulation to qualify.

Some of the most notable NHL players from each country:
Tatar/Cernak/Halak-Sharangovich
Blueger/Balcers/Merzlikins-Texier/Bellemare
Ehlers/Bjorkstrand/Eller-Zuccarello

Slovakia, Latvia, and Denmark have the better NHLers.

As a habs fan I can’t make up my mind whether I want France to win or not so I can see Xavier Ouellet at the Olympics, or want them to lose so that Laval isn’t without him for a month.

This is under the assumption that the NHL is going, which given the fact that we’re nearly at the end of August and there’s been no news, actually doesn’t seem very likely.

I mean it’s not much of a curse. Saving lives and making 90% of the population’s lives better doesn’t compare to the slightly less spending power our silly little sports franchises have.
