I'd say youre getting a hard no from Montreal, Winnipeg, Vegas, Carolina, Nashville, Calgary, and Arizona. So in conclusion, you maybe got something there with Edmonton and Vancouver

well remove andersson and then discuss what minnesota should be adding, a top six C that is money in the bank 20 goals when healthy, usually around 30, is significantly more valuable than an offensive top 4 D that has struggled to produce offense for a couple years. Not that calgary is even interested in dumba at this point, we already have andersson and tanev for our top 4

Timing is a bid deal of trades, and because of the ED I think Dumba would be moved for far less than he would be otherwise because MIN's options are limited.

So its hard to tell how realistic you want this to be, if you do what it to be realistic then your 1st step is ED lists and not many teams have open D slots

I think the teams to zero in on here are ARI, CGY, and WPG. VAN also makes sense but they are in no way able to take on Dumba’s cap hit. CAR could be in play of Dougie walks, if Eichel ends up there then Trochek is a good look.

The only way ARI would be interested is if they think they could win now, which means you’re looking at Hayton, CBJ 2nd and maybe more. CGY is tough since Monahan 1 for 1 doesn’t seem too appealing for MIN and CGY probably doesn’t want to move the futures it would take. WPG should build a package around Heinola, but I really think they have other plans.

End of the day, there aren’t many good places for Dumba.

No for Necas - even 1 for 1 Necas is much more valuable all things considered. No to Troch as well - created a massive hole at 2C which is much harder to fill whereas you can find a top 4 D in FA pretty easily this offseason.

Yeah, never said it was, the whole point of this thread was to create discussion on what the value of Dumba could be. Put different teams that could potentially benefit from him, and players I like.

From my perspective it was reported during wild GM first season he had no interest in trading dumba for trocheck. Maybe it has changed

Also it appears for 2 years, wild GM, & front office has no interest in Sean Monahan

I think that Dumba will go to the Flyers. They need a RHD and we know that GMCF likes him. I'd hope to get Frost and Patrick in return.
