I don’t think that is enough to get Eichel, but other than that I think the rest of the moves are fairly realistic.

Major Tara overpayment.

It will take multiple 1sts if not more to have Sea take on Duchene

Not nearly enough for Eichel

regardless of trade value, this is a pretty interesting roster with a lot of moves I haven't seen on here before -- nice job!

The instant regret in the Ellis/Tarasenko trade would be worse than the Weber for Subban trade. Not again.

And Eichel will get more and I'm not sure Preds have what they'd want

It will not take multiple firsts to move Duchene

No one is taking on that absolutely massive contract right now. Have you paid attention to anything over the past year?

Not sure any team has paid multiple firsts to get rid of a player
Seattle would not turn down a top6 player plus a first
Especially if they believe in his play driving numbers

His production hasn't faired well but most of his ice time last season was alongside Brad Richardson, Nick Cousins, and Erik Haula

Value is more than fair in Jankrok deal; just don’t know if NJ does it bc they may feel he’d be in the way of Holtz, Foote, Mercer, Boqvist, Clarke. If NJ goes after a forward via trade, think it’s someone who can have big impact in top 6

I am letting you know the reality of the NHL right now. If you choose not to believe it all that'll happen is you will spend a lot of time wishing for things that will never come true and be disappointed that things that will never happen didn't.

The history here is pretty darn clear cut.

There is zero history of a player being traded away for multiple firsts

Nor of a team taking on a cap dump that large, let alone in one of the most cap strapped times in the modern NHL.

Those 2 sides of the same coin should lead you to your answer about Duchene, however if not you can go back and look at the history of cap dumps and extrapolate as long as you understand its not a linear scaling model

Duchene still has value, hes not Jeff Skinner
Hes overpaid and has term, but its absurd for an expansion team looking for multiple firsts

Regardless Johansen is the one they will try and move

A cap dump is a cap dump, all that matters in the contract.

Try as they might in a year both will still be on NSH unless they are willing to take some bad money back
