SJS
  1. Lysell, Fabian [Reserve List]
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (BOS)
BOS
  1. Hertl, Tomas ($2,800,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Do you think I could get Lysell and a first? I rated Lysell as the fourth best player in 2021, but clearly NHL GMs do not
2.
SJS
  1. 2022 7th round pick (WSH)
WSH
  1. Simek, Radim
Additional Details:
His contract is the reason for little value
3.
SJS
  1. Connolly, Brett
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (CHI)
CHI
  1. Cogliano, Andrew ($500,000 retained)
  2. 2022 5th round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
Not happening unless Chicago thinks they're really gonna be competitive. So don't take this trade too seriously

    2. 2022 6th round pick (SJS)
    3. 2022 7th round pick (ARI)
    Additional Details:
Labanc slander will not be tolerated in this household. He scored EV points at basically the same rate as Trocheck, and better than Niedereiter Staal and Svech

Fast is solely a cap relief move. If the Canes can make it work without him or a dif player, lmk

You are not getting Lysell. And B’s only have 1m in cap space.

1st and Debrusk with mid level 3rd piece, B’s are in.

Doubt Sweeney is giving up Lysell in a trade for hertl. Debrusk, Moore, and a first might make some sense

Lysell + 1st wouldn’t work while you seem to be a bit high on Lysell, he should’ve gone around 10

Also, Labanc is not producing at the same rate as trocheck, and is not producing more than Svechnikov, Nino, and Staal. Labanc would be an upgrade over Fast, but Fast is able to score about 30 points consistently without even playing a full NHL season yet.

Fast is cost controlled and is playing well for us. Unless SJ is willing to retain salary, Canes pass.

Zero chance LeBanc gets a 1st, from any team, much less CAR.

Moore is a cap dump that will cost ~debrusk-a little to move (something around a 3rd imo). A late 1st plus a late 3rd doesnt get hertl at full salary let alone retained. I think (if he would waive) youd be better off trying to move Coyle and turn him into a 2C.
Agree on Lysell though hes not going anywhere just yet (unless its an Eichel deal).

Debrusk has way more value to boston than a 3rd round pick.

Agreed his value is moving moore plus a 3rd round pick. As I wrote that post i knew it might be confusing.

Sorry but mid-level prospects don't return top line C's. Lol its not close.

My point is i think he has more value to the Bruins than he does on the trade market, so he likely won’t be moved.

And when the other two pieces are just turds then that only amplifies the third piece which needs to be gold to make it considerable.

Lol not using Debrusk to move Moore. Moore is overpaid, double what he should be, but at 2.75 he’s not a burden and despite what people think, is a serviceable 3rd pair d man when on the ice. They are far better off burying him and saving half his cap and have him for depth than they are making a bad trade to dump him.

Cool, 1st round pick in a deep draft and a wing that has averaged 22g per 82 games. Turds. Got it. 🙄

I wasnt suggesting that they should. I was just analyzing his propoaed trade and showing him that the value wasnt there. Read the whole conversation dont just take one post out of context.

Labanc is a good player but a first is a quick no from the Canes. He’d slot in nicely into the top 9 but not at that price. If that’s what it costs to go after him would rather go after somebody like Forsberg or even Tara and add a bit to the offer.

He’s not in the same tier as Troch or Svech, Staal does so much more than just score points (but even there he was terrific last year). Nino and Labanc I can be convinced are in the same ballpark.

it would have to be Lysell for me. Studnicka and Beecher aren't very promising.

I have my reservations about Lysell too but I don’t disagree. Unfortunately the B’s don’t have many good prospects.

Carolina only have 1 RFA.... and it's Svech

They can't sign Wells because they already have 6 goalies under contract. Can't sign Korshkov, he just signed in the KHL. Lajoie isn't worth any deal you can't bury.
