I’d be hesitant cause he kind of forced his way out and wouldn’t want to risk him doing so again.

I'm always surprised to see BOS in the mix for top 6 centers like Eichel. Don't they have the worst prospect system and they pick late, so I don't know how they'd get a great center in return unless it's multiple firsts.

I don't know a thing about the two prospects. I'm assuming they are no name throw in's. Quality > Quantity so I'd say no not close for PLD even after a down season

The Jets are in win mode now, gonna have to give up a player you won't want to lose.

The only prospects of interest would be Lysell and Studnicka. But I’m not sure how the deals would shape up around those two.

Filipe is unlikely to make out of the AHL, if he does he will be a spare part/roster filler.

Keyser is a solid goalie prospect, probably an nhl backup tops though

They won't replace Laine and Roslovic...but its a start.
I'd add Lohrei or Berglund

The deal is definitely not close. Winnipeg also has no reason or desire to trade Dubois, so the Jets say no.

This was a big trade for Cheveldayoff so I can't see him trading Dubois this season. If Chevy were to trade Dubois now (before the season and at his low point) then he crystalizes his losses and looks like an idiot. If Chevy hangs onto him and Dubois flops again this season then Chevy looks like an idiot; if Dubois rebounds to his bubble-playoff play then Chevy looks smart.

Trade now: Chevy looks like an idiot. (no upside)
Hang on: Chevy looks like an idiot or looks smart. (same downside, more upside)

Short answer: Nope

I agree with others who’ve posted. PLD isn’t going to be dealt, but let’s assume he was on the block, is the proposed trade something WPG would entertain.

1st is a late first, 20+, so not a ton of value.
Felipe is older, and not likely to play a role in the NHL - zero values
Keyser is a prospect who may make it in the AHL, he’s nothing special, and the Jets wouldn’t improve on Berdin or Holm, so not much value.

Debrusk is solid, but he’s not a young, potential 1C, so not much value there in this type of a deal.

Moore is an NHL d, but the Jets now have a log jam there, and he doesn’t help for the future.

Given that Chevy traded Laine (a sniper in a power forward’s body with a generational release) and a former first round pick who profiles as a middle 6 Center or RW, what would Boston have to offer...

Starts with two of Lysell, Lohrie and Studnicka. Boston doesn’t have the strongest prospects at the moment, so to acquire a 1/2C who is in their prime, the ask is going to be high.

I’m not sure if even two of those would be sufficient. I think a 2nd or a 1st would also be required. Lysell is a very good top 6 wing prospect, Lohrie could play in the top 4 eventually, but Studnicka probably maxes out as a good 2C.

Overall, I don’t see a good fit. Boston won’t part with NHL talent to make the deal, (Jets would want either a top 2 D or Center in return) or a couple top flight, top line ceiling prospects.

I threw random names and asked WHAT would be fair. Thanks for your 'Chevy' perceived outcomes though.

Idk. Kysell or Studnicka (both?) should be in there over the other two prospects for sure though.

And no he wouldn’t be 1C on Boston but maybe he would replace Krejci
