Question for all: My current goalies are Darcy Kuemper, MacKenzie Blackwood and Chris Driedger. With Price now out and Jake Allen seeing more starts, do I dump Driedger for Allen?

He'll for sure get me more wins, but my league settings are H2H most cats, he might hurt Save % and GAA, but I'm still leaning towards taking the chance anyways.

1) Carey Price enters the NHLPA program and is out for at least a month (WOAH-whatever it is, wishing him the best)
2) Varlamov will not be available for opening night (Isles better hope Sorokin doesn't get injured too, otherwise it's the Cory Schneider show)
3) Quinton Byfield fractured ankle- out for 2 months at least
4) Joel Edmunson out for start of season, will be sidelined for 2-3 weeks
5) Jack Eichel trade talks have progressed
6) Colin White out 4-6 months for Sens
7) USA announces first three players-Matthews (fine), Kane (fine), and Seth Jones (pathetic)
8) Finland's first 3: Rantanen, Aho, Barkov (ELITE-Wow)-Czech Republic's first 3: Pastrnak, Palat, Voracek
9) Montreal offered an extension to Bergevin (What the heck?)
10) Drouin out with non-Covid illness
11) Blake Coleman suspended for opening night
12) Pavel Francouz out for 3-4 weeks for the Avs

Did I miss anything?


13) Blake Comeau is still getting more ice-time than Denis Gurianov.

Fantastic night for the Bolts. Steven Stamkos scored two power play goals in the span of 27 seconds, Corey Perry also lit the lamp twice, and Kuch, Point and Sergachev had two assists each. One more preseason game to go (on Saturday) before OPENING NIGHT, BABY!!!

Adding both ceci and Keith made no sense. Holland could have had a successful offseason overall by just adding Keith and keeping Bear. Ryan was a great add and Hyman was as well despite the contract being 2 years too long.

I knew the moment I saw Perry vs Tampa round 2 and he once again failed to beat them he was going to join them.

2 weeks later he signs with them lul

Honestly Maroon-PEB-Perry looks like a solid 4th line and Perry's playstyle should go great in Tampa

Mmm even that Dcore aint great.

Bouchard is a 3rd pair guy rn as he still has some holes in his game. While Keith just aint a top 4 guy anymore

Amen to that. He's really starting to grow on me with his work ethic and hustle. It's so hilarious that he's actually with the Bolts instead of watching Stammer raise the Cup from the Stars or Canadiens locker room... tears of joy

Nurse-Bear is a legitimate top pair which is what they need. I would split the ice time between the 2nd and 3rd pair. Bouchard can easily step into a 2nd pairing role and do well, his reputation has been affected by Tippett refusing to play him last year, but hes the type of D who can be a stud right away. Keith isn’t a top 4 D but the D core would still be good enough. Keith would be their only bad defenseman

McCabe wanted to play only for Chicago. I think he’s from there.
