I think given the Leafs' cap situation and their strong player development ability, they may have to take on more reclamation projects as one way of filling out the depth on the roster should they wish to keep the core together.

That’s a tough contract for Mrazek. Maybe a 3rd and 5th. I highly doubt a team gives up a 1st for him and that contract. Even a late 1st.

Lol… A #1 overall pick….His 2nd year….lol…

Has 15 goals and 25 points in 60 games so far. It’s not like he’s completely busting out either.

Leafs have developed very few players, well one reason is they traded so many picks. But geez, the Leafs don't have a strong development system.
That a horrid trade for the Leafs for just one year of Zub.

His first year was not bad, just inconsistent. Now, he is scared of holding onto the puck and making a play.

You are thinking wrong. I highly doubt Ottawa moves their literal only good defensive defenseman and best partner Chabot has ever had.

Lafreniere is 20. The fact that he's even in the NHL is a great accomplishment. ppl need to stop giving up on young players so early.

And Hayton is still 21 years old. How come leafs prospects are still prospects and have value at 23-24 years old even.?? But other teams prospects are reclaimation projects at 20(Lafreniere) and Hayton(21)..?

And Zub is a reclamation project.?? Lol. This is the best ACGM ever.!!!! Lol. They just gave him 2.5M for 2 years.

Sorry, but a player who outscored MacKinnon, Dubois and Hischier during their time in the Q without being alongside high pedigree players like Drouin, Zadina & Svechnikov should be better than just a 30 point player. If he still can't figure it out by year 2, then he's not gonna establish himself with NYR.

Neither are Laffreniere or Hayton.

Stuetzle reclamation project too(12 goals 33 points in 60 games; Lafreniere; 15 goals, 25 points in 60 games).

First, I've heard that Mrazek and Holland didn't see eye to eye in Detroit.

Second, why would the Oilers give up a 1st for an average goalie with an injury problem? Zero upside over what they currently have.

Do you like Nylander? I do. He made the NHL for a drop at the end of draft plus 2. What kind of insane time line is this?
