Yeah, I’m aware. But he’s usually like a 55-60 point guy in a good year in the regular season. He’s currently on pace for 126 points, which is a massive hike (over double) and while that will likely regress (mostly by being bumped to the 2nd line when MacKinnon’s back), he’s not accomplishing this with an insane shooting percentage like some of the other guys with hot starts (he’s had 3 years above this shooting percentage before, and is only ~1% above his career average). If he can stick on PP1 all year he might be around a point per game player.

Was goaltending optional last night? Avs won 7-5 against Ottawa, CBJ won 7-4 against Buffalo, etc

Jackets win, 7-4 over the Buffalo Sabres

-I had completely forgotten that there was a game last night. Thank god the NHL YouTube channel uploads highlights.

-There were a LOT of empty seats in the KeyBank Center for the game. It’s a sad sight.

-Rosie scored two first period goals! That’s a great way to open up scoring for the season.

-#SexiTexi continues to break out the smooth moves for a second game in a row with a pretty move while smothered by a Sabres defender. He didn’t score this time, but at least he got on net.

-I genuinely thought we were going to blow the lead during the 2nd. We just fell asleep defensively for that spell.

-In most of those clips, Dustin Tokarski really seemed to be fully opposed to going into the butterfly. Almost like he’s a goalie from the 70s.

That franchise has spiraled so bad. They had such promise two years ago and now if brock gets traded and Petey leaves, Idek where they’ll start

Also in terms of all time best starting lineup from a single city, I think it's Montreal without question. Robitaille-Lemieux-(Bossy or M. Richard) / R. Bourque-Letang / Brodeur is unreal. Moscow's really good with Ovechkin-Zhamnov-P. Bure / Fetisov-Zubov / Shesterkin, Edmonton's up there with Bucyk-Messier-Iginla / S. Niedermayer-(Babych or Phaneuf) / Hrudey, but they don't come close to Montreal imo.


Wouldnt the Toronto area have McDavid, Gretzky, Marner etc.?

Gotta give Bednar some credit; HE LETS THAT KID FLY. No reins on him, the way some players need to play.

Watching Fox is scary, but watching Makar is somehow worse, that guy just does whatever HE wants.

And Domi got 3 points, CBJ hasn't been doing too bad without Laine offensively, if Korpisalo could be better, CBJ actually looks pretty good

Dahlin and Makar could be one of the best pairing right now with no reigns, I'd love to see that.
