Just like Stralman and Ladd last year.. pure cap dump. I threw Koumontzis in since he's a Scottsdale and ASU kid, a bit of a feel good.

      1. Mrázek, Petr
      2. 2022 2nd round pick (TOR)

        3. 2024 2nd round pick (VGK)
        VGK
Another cap dump.. would require Dadonov waiving his trade protection assuming AZ is on his list of teams.. but let's say does. Morozov is currently in the VHL (which is KHL's equivalent of the AHL) he's playing well but hasn't cracked the SKA big club this year, i think this deal is essentially just like the Stralman one from last year.

Another cap dump with no Coyotes return. Two picks instead of 1 because of Matheson's term.

If this was real, I'd have high hope for Arizona for 2024/2025 season, come to think of it, there should already be high hope considering Arizona's last 10 years of draft picks or what should have been

do you even watch hockey lmao, none of those guys are cap dumps except maybe matheson, who has too much term for anyone to take on unless they believe he can rebound into a top 4 guy (and like, who believes that)

Flames won't pay to move Monahan and Calgary doesn't have the center depth to replace him.

We may try to move Lucic for a 2nd

Do you even watch hockey or follow the league or understand the cap? Okay first

Re: Monahan, he’s currently 10th in ice time per game among flames forwards - the only line up regulars playing less minutes than him at Milan Lucic, Dillon Dube and Trevor Lewis. He has only 4 goals in 28 games and is a -9 on team with a +25 goal differential. He's essentially now a 4C making almost 7 million on a team that needs to resign Johnny G, Mangianpane, Tkachuk, and replace half of their defense and only have 30 million to do it.

Re Bailey: the islanders have 13 mil in cap space next year with with Noah Dobson to resign and 3 defenseman spots to fill. He has 1 goal in 21 games this year. He’s 32????

Re: Dadanov: Vegas only has 2 mil in cap space next year and that is without resigning Smith, McNabb, Janmark and replacing literally ALL of their depth.

            But sure go off king

Sure, the Leafs might trade Mrazek but they won't have to pay to do it.

bailey's been god awful this year but he is fourth on the team in points (bleak) and the cap's really not going to be an issue especially if salo takes one of the D spots, dobson's not getting a ton of money. i'd rather ride it out another year before giving up crazy assets to move him. ladd was unplayable and making more, bailey's been terrible but he's still playable and producing to some degree.

Josh Bailey is not Andrew Ladd, isles are not paying draft picks to move him.

His one ice production disagrees with you. 1 goal in 21 games, 45.45% xG at 5v5 which *checks notes* is very bad - high danger chances at 5v5 this year at 70 against to 40 .. he's getting caved in.. the islanders are always hungry to improve and they don't have money to do it with unless they move out money.. Bailey is the only money to move out that makes sense but he's not a valuable player anymore, unless something changes

            Monohan won’t waive to Arizona

People said Kessel wouldn't waive and he did, people said Stralman wouldn't waive and he did. Az isn't Winipeg, it's an amazing place to live, some players enjoy less media attention, tons of players have retired there (Ray Whitney, Derek Morris, Roenick all still live there), heck even McDavid trains there in the summer now in Scottsdale. Also he'd a chance to play real minutes in AZ unlike Calgary where Sutter doesn't approve of his play and as I've noted he's 10th in ice time among forwards.

The whole Isles team has been bad this year and Bailey has never been counted on to score goals but to help generate chances, and he does have 9 assists in 21 games. I am no fan of Bailey, but your take on comparing him to Andrew Ladd who was not part of the team for 3 years is ludicrous just like your trade.

I really don’t think Matheson would need to be a cap dump. He’s been really solid so far this season and well he was also solid last season. The more he keeps this up the higher his value will for sure get.

We aren’t paying to move Dadanov, especially Morzov lol.

do you even watch hockey lmao, none of those guys are cap dumps except maybe matheson, who has too much term for anyone to take on unless they believe he can rebound into a top 4 guy (and like, who believes that)

Well he has played pretty well for the pens. He just needs the right partner. He’d probably succeed with Lyubushkin. I think if the pens traded him to AZ then the pens would take cap back like Matheson and a 2nd for a player with a decent cap hit but lesser term. I don’t think he’s the cap dump most think he is on here.
