Avs can't trade for Johnson at a lower cap hit. That is cap circumvention and both the league and PA would nix the deal.

Remember in the expansion draft when Cale Fleury was more valuable than Carey Price? Surely Price must have played lights out since then if his value has risen that much since last offseason.

By this post, Craig Anderson will be the Avs starting goalie, maybe their only goalie.

Hasn't let in a goal all season. wink

The expansion draft excuse is farcical though. Seattle made several mistakes. MB used every scare tactic possible to discourage them. They still considered it.

The new CBA forbids making draft picks conditional upon players re-signing.

Remember when Price carried Montreal to the SCF, oh wait probably not since your team was out 2 rounds before that golfing!

and they passed for cale fleruy. since then price has off ice issues come to light and hasn't played a single nhl game. there's no value there.

Yeah. All he had to do was get shutouts in the first 2 games against the best offense in the league, then score a goal in game 5 while also posting a shutout.
Montreal was simply outmatched. There were two winnable games and he won one of them while being almost perfect in the other.

He had a good playoffs but that doesn't mean he will be worth 10.5M for his age 34-38 seasons. I wouldn't take him for free let alone adding Girard, Francouz, Johnson, and a 1st like in this proposal

Ottawa is not paying Tierney half of his salary to play for another team when the only incentive is to move up about 10 spots in the draft.

      Try again.

there's difference between not winning and choking. he played bad. hes not some playoff god, he had a hot streak and it ran out at the worst possible time.
