Description
If we do not go the Claude route I would love to see something this way, Andre might need a change of scenery I think that there might have to be alittle more. for Columbus to get Laine but it would be an amazing to get but I don’t think it would be possible. The million retained would come from Montreal so we would be under cap. I don’t see this ever happening but it would be fun

cbj and habs trade are bad value for the avs. no thanks to a bertuzzi in an avs jersey. not to mention what a headache he'd be off ice.

No way Avs do Girard and Burky for basically the same players. I could see the Ranta trade. No to the Barron trade. I like Bertuzzi he is a really good player. If we could change the pieces I would do it.

Isles say no. They need a 1st for Mayfield or just keep him for next year.

This is not good. Girard is worth significantly more than Laine and Burakovsky is worth more than Bean why in the world is COL adding a 1st?

Lehkonen, that’s an overpay imo.

No way NYI does that.

And you didn’t really try to trade a Bertuzzi, the unvaccinated one to COL? And gave up COL’s best d prospect for a dude that can’t play games in Canada then dropped him on the 3rd line.

So essentially you’re trading your best d prospect, arguably your 2nd best forward prospect, a bottom 6 center, a 2nd rd pick, 2 forward prospects and a 4th for 2 3rd line wingers?

Goals are fun and all, but having a second pairing of Jake Bean and EJ scares me a bit.

Detroit passes by a country mile, Bowers and Barron are nowhere near NHL ready so it's basically Bertuzzi for Jost and sorry that's not good enough. Once again Detroit is set at RD so Barron isn't a need. And neither is Bowers. Detroit and Colorado don't make a good trading partners here. And good luck with the Patrik Laine contract when he gets between 7 x $8,500,000 to 7 x $9,000,000 on his next contract.

Newhook ++, if not +++.

Laine with that Avs offense would be so unfair the league would cancel the season.

Girard is every bit as good as Chychrun and locked up for 5 more seasons. He’s like currently the 59th highest paid dman locked into that for the entirety of his absolute prime. For the sake of argument say Bean becomes as good as Girard what’s his contract look like $8M?. Laine is a one trick pony a great one trick pony who’s QO is going to be gigantic, and there is zero chance COL can re-sign him. There isn’t a planet that exists that COL does this.

It doesn’t make sense for the jackets either. Laine is a much better player than Bur. Bur is 27 Laine 23. Burs career high in goals is 20. Laine has 18 in 31 games already. Laine is a much more rounded player this year. Burakosky is a good top 6 winger. Laine is an elite superstar who is over a PPG this year. Not to mention Burakovsky is a UFA after the season is over.

Girard is better than Bean but bean is on a 3 year deal at 2.3 million per and will be an RFA after.

The disparity between Laine and burakovsky is much greater than girard and bean.

Again it doesn’t make sense for either team to do this trade
