Next year they will be lucky to compete, I like Scheifele to Detroit but that's too much to give up. Don't see them competing for the playoffs for 2 years, team just isn't good enough.

I don't mind the Jets making changes, but making really bad trades as most of these are for the Jets, doesn't magically make Winnipeg better.

I like the idea but Winnipeg gotta aquire Smith and Kassian aswell for me to accept it as an Oilers fan. Also remove a 1st from Detroit and they might say yes. Or send Scheifele to a team like Boston for 2 1st and Studnicka or Minnesota for Rask(2 year 2.5m extension in place), Dumba and 2022 1st.

I mean, they have a bright future and it only takes signing 1-2 UFA this summer or 1 plus this trade and they would for sure compete for playoffs. They have the top 2 or 2/3 Calder candidates and I’d place seider at the top. Larkin only gets better. It’s not that bad of an idea.

For the Oilers to except this deal Smith would need to be included for cap reasons plus skinner will be the backup next yr as he's no longer waiver exempt and remove Broberg and add in our 2021 first Xavier Bourgault right shoot centre with 43 points in 25 games in the Q this year
With Broberg being Klefboms replacement as we found out this week the chance of Klefbom every playing again are slim at best, Hellebuyck would be a great add but he only has 2 yrs left on his deal before he becomes a UFA again
