Dec 7 was where the drop started

Our 5-4 win but in that game we basically disappeared in the 3rd period letting Columbus score 3 in 6mins.
TBL game turnover and sloppy plays by our defense (Holl) killed us despite outplaying Tampa
Edmonton Campbell allows 1 goal
Ottawa shutout
Edmonton pt.2 allows 2 goals
Colorado we fell asleep and blew a 3-1 lead in the third as Campbell stood on his head but our defense didnt help for ****
VGK Took to many dumb penalties giving Vegas a 5-3 easy goal.
St. Louis Carnival
NYR Once again blew a 3-1 lead as defense fell off a cliff in the 3rd.
Anaheim blew a 3-1 lead as we allowed an own goal through a weird pass, tip in and 3-1 breakaway
NJD he blew the first game (Mrazek bailed him out) but made up for it the second game only allowing 1 goal
Calgary our team was so ass what were we gonna do. Basically got bashed and bullied with the team giving up in the second
Seattle did well
Pittsburgh played his best game allowing only 1 goal
St. Louis 0 help and got murdered by tic-tac-toe plays with 0 defensive coverage
CBJ this game yes Campbell had his issues I will give you that one.
Detroit (gonna blame the stomach bug going around as probs everyone had it). Also lots of tip in/deflection goals
Vancouver started well but defensive coverage non existent and easy goals from tip ins, deflections from Vancouver.

Most of these games we lost were winnable but Keefe mentioned they play 40 mins then leave the goalie the final 20 in a lot of those games. As how many 3-1 leads got blown because the rest of the team decided lets not show up. Like that Colorado game had 4 Save of the Year candidates for Campbell but he never got support in the third allowing for Colorado to get rebounds, tap ins, or keep the pressure up

Totally cool, not going to agree on this and that's fine. Again IMO both things are true- poor goaltending and poor defense.

Yeah, it's a mix, it's bad defense but also bad goaltending, that's why it's a big argument, because you can't accurately pinpoint the problem

To me based on my observations its mostly defense with a bit of goaltending.

As lets be real if we look at some of these games the Defense looks lost or is no where to be found leaving Campbell or Mrazek out there to do all the work and thats not always easy especially when facing deflection type shots.

I think getting someone to balance out the Dcore and get them playing that solid give nothing take all game is perfect. The Minnesota game was a perfect example. Allowed barely anything and when it came to for goals the big boys did there thing. Against Buffalo is where I go you be playing yourself to their level and thats not what your supposed to do. Play every game like you did the wild and everything will go up especially defense and goaltending.

And thats why I want Mark Giordano and maybe another guy like De-Haan or Mayfield

As with more shot blocks than anyone on this team rn (100 each) they will make the goalies jobs easier thats for sure

Unrelated to your ACGM but why the hate (or lack of callup) for Marody. Has he looked out of place in the NHL?

His footspeed is kind of dismal and Holland does not intrinsically value him as an NHL option. I'd have left him up during his last recall and I'd never make a second of ice time available for the ilk of Archibald, Shore, and Turris.

His fancies are pretty good but we won't know due to the sample size. I think his would be a good name for Arizona to take interest in at the draft. Pair him and Lagesson for a midround selection and a cash-rich AHL deal and both sides are probably happy.

Is there some bottom 6’er that’s currently struggling that could do better on another team?

I meant an established struggling player that was good, I’m looking for someone that could potentially make sense for a hockey trade with Radek Faksa.
