And with teams reportedly laughing at the Sharks ask for Middleton (per Sheng); I assume its gonna be quiet.
But wouldn't it be nice to see Fletcher send like Morgan Frost and a couple 3rds to SJ for Middleton


I heard they debating a Reimer trade but in no rush rn

Middleton probably you could trade him to Carolina for a 2nd + Bokk or something

Yep, him and Vasy were the only reason Tampa won the cup in 2020 vs Dallas. They completely dominated them, I was scared of them when they played.

And Bowness thought he was smart by putting the FCC line on Point. It literally made the job much easier, it’s like putting McDavid vs your average toilet in a skating contest.

I’m still confused how Hedman won the Conn Smythe, he wasn’t even the best dman in the series.

Edit: also that 3rd line of Coleman, Gourde and Goodrow were as important to their run to the cup as the other two I named.

And I hope SJS is asking a stupid price for Reimer too.

Im glad to hear SJS is asking high - we gotta shoot high to make it worth moving him otherwise its a waste with how skeptical I am of Knyzhov being able to return to form after his infection.

I am not worried pursay. But Knyzhov may have had his career ruined and that is worth noting and shows how important Middleton is - a tragedy but highlighting how one player potentially losing his career has given another one life; its given Middleton his career and at least a few more years with a couple million dollars.

And yet he was insignificant in that Dallas series, only 1 goal. On a team that was dominating offensively.

Some food for thought.

The difference between Jarnkrok and Giordano+Blackwell returns was a jump from a 2nd round pick to a 7th round pick.

The same pick difference was also a thing in 2016 when NYR traded Brassard+7th to OTT in exchange to Zibanejad+2nd.

To summarize...trade market is bullsh*t.
