My bad, I thought your "it shouldn't matter" was referring to the Ukraine/Russia point in the post you quoted and everything following your "but" was a different thought.

And, yeah, the voters are human and the voting doesn't take place at the conclusion of the regular season for some reason (I believe) so I could definitely see playoff success tipping the scales one way or the other.

With Kassian going back in return. The package you're proposing is currently more than what Minnesota paid for Fleury and there's a crevasse-sized gap between the two netminders.

Considering this trade would happen in the summer - when goalies are in abundance - the best Montreal gets for a year of Allen is like a 4th round pick.

Yeah usually newer prospects don’t grow well. 2021 draft class is absolutely garbage in sims. Guys like Othmann, Olauasson, Sillinger never crack the NHL

Just wondering, with how joel edmundson has progressed over his time in MTL, habs can get a really good offer for him.
To trade him, I think the minimum is 1st + 2nd, but I, personally would want 1st + 1st round caliber prospect .
