Why would the habs be PAYING to take Lindblom (and a 1st round pick worth of value at that) he has no value

LA won't trade Bjornfot or Anderson for Provorov. The idea is to get more LHD, not just to "upgrade."

that habs deal makes more sense, Weber either stays or gets moved to a team like Arizona for a positive asset to help them reach the floor.

moving the Weber contract. Two 3rds for Lindblom isn't unreasonable, even if it is a bit much, the 2nd and whatever is left for the Weber contract makes sense

The habs arent paying to offload the weber contract. Arizona wants it they could give it to them for free worst case.

Lindblom isnt worth 2 3rds. He is a 4th line player making 3rd line money.

Lindblom is absolutely a 3rd line player. His stats don't look like it since he rode the bench for the first 25 games of the season, since then he's been a good middle 6 piece

Weber's contract is irrelevant if he's done playing then who cares, leave him on LTIR, Arizona the only team he would be traded too and thats for a pick returning to MTL. Lindblom is pretty useless to the habs we have about 9 middle 6 wingers as it is we dont need another.

no one is going to pay for an asset that they can't use, even if it helps them get to the floor

If they got Chychrun, I don't think they'd be in the market for Provorov.

Los Angeles is much more likely to want to send (and be asked for) Alex Turcotte than one of our two existing LDs in exchange for an LD.

that is using the asset. LOL Weber's contract was front loaded and he is owed very little on the rest of it given what his cap his is. Thats a positive asset for a team about to play the next three seasons in a 5000 seat area Arizona has done it multiple times in the past and at the very lease would take that on at no cost. MTL isnt going to pay a team to take weber contract. Theres no benefit whatsoever from it.

Edmonton is not unhappy with Puljujarvi. He is given top line minutes and his on-ice numbers are outstanding. McDavid and Kane's numbers jump considerably when they play with Puljujarvi.

Of the many needs the Habs have, natural C (not these C/W tweeners) and RHD have to be the most pressing. Finding a good one with the assets Habs have to offer in a trade that helps both teams is another matter.

Moving the Weber contract shouldn't be considered a desperation move. Leaving him on LTIR for now isn't ideal, but it's not so dire that they'll have to trade 2's and 3's to rid themselves of it, especially considering where they are in their re-whatever they want to call it.

Edmonton LOVES Puljujarvi! tears of joy

And why would they pay a 1st + 3rd for Atkinson when they could keep their picks and use that cap space to re-sign Kane?

There are a couple reporters in Edmonton who like to **** on JP Matheson and Spector. Both of which are horrible at there job. The fans love the Bison King and want the oilers to sign him to an 8 year extension.

What is that Habs trade. Why on earth would we pay a second and two thirds for a fourth liner making $3 mil???
