Not sure what NJDs cap situation is moving forward but I wonder if they could take a look at Price or Bob

I hope not. They're too old. Both mid 30s and won't won't fit the Devils timeline. Both also have long contracts with huge $ which is not ideal when there are better, younger and cheaper goalies available

I don’t think the devils should do anything too crazy at goaltending, both Blackwood and Dawes should start 1/3 of the games next year. Just a matter of finding a veteran that can be quality for the other 1/3 til Dawes or Blackwood take the job and run with it.

90%+ of these goalies not being available means that 34 of these goalies aren't available. Which is weird since alot of these goalies are UFAs or cap dumps so them being "unavailable" is stupid

Demko, Oettinger, Knight, Askorov and Wallstadt those guys aren't even in the conversation. There's no way any of them are getting moved. Doubtful Seattle moves Grabauer. The UFA's could happen. Doubt even Binnington would waive his full NTC for New Jersey.

UFAs like Holtby, Koskinen, DeSmith, would be available in free agency

I'm fine with any of the "Viable, options" except Grubauer and Petersen.

Would also at least talk to Kuemper if he makes it to free agency.

Would also add Fleury (he said he plans on coming back next season, though I can't imagine he'd pick us) and Driedger (he's been bad this season, like Grubauer, but his contract is a lot less risky).

I would be fine giving Blackwood one more shot. I doubt management will trust him thought

Personally I would take Mrazek off the list, he is not even NHL quality at this point.

I'd ask Toronto to give up an asset for Mrazek, then sign Husso.

Trading for Samsonov would be a good idea too.

As for Grubauer, I have hard time believing he has regressed that much in a season. Especially high number of odd-man rushes Seattle gives up. He could be nice buy low.

Gibson and Hellebuyck are my "white whales".
If they are available, we should have assets to obtain them.

Need to find the right younger version of those two, a underappreciated vet to come in and possibly take the number 1 gig as well. Like csick said Campbell/blackwood/Dawes or enter name there that still has the capabilities to take the number one gig and run with it. They were kidding themselves with bernier/Crawford.

I think Varlamov is a possibility - I would be surprised if he had the Devils on his NTC, considering he probably would only have to cross the GWB to get to Newark for home games. I'd be into building whatever package you think is necessary around a Varlamov for Ryan Graves trade.
