Getting greedy on that Schmidt trade. He's worth a 3rd straight up. Not saying that would be a deal breaker, but he wouldn't even be our top choice and we could probably get a better option for less.

Can't see Montreal trading the 1st overall pick and especially when they're hosting the draft but I'd totally do that trade.

Dubois is worth Dvorak and a 2nd at most. Hes a 60 point player. Dvorak is a 50 point player. Both about the same defensively and Dvorak doesnt take 100+ pims

Pretty sure Yzerman wouldn't want the extra year (his 3rd year left) on a 31 year d-man's contract. It's not the worst trade I see for Detroit--but not sure Schmidt would be on Detroit's target list either.
