Do you ever get the feeling that people post here just to try and annoy other people? What is the point of doing that? It’s a fake world where strangers talk about hockey on a website and make up fake trades. Why on earth are there people who take this seriously enough that it seems like they’re at work?

i have zero issue with trouba hitting domi in that situation. everyone is reacting based on slo-motion and various angles. you put yourself in troubas skates and point of view. the issue i have ONCE AGAIN is the refs giving a god damn power play to the team that has just laid a monster hit. this is getting ridiculous. you cannot call an instigator if someones teammate is hurt. absolutely ridiculous.

Because Korpi's a solid backup, if Tarasov's ready, too bad for Korpi but it's better to have a plan ready than scramble if Tarasov isn't ready

Korpisalo is not a solid backup

from moneypuck:
21-22: -13.2GSAx
20-21: -13.8GSAx
19-20: -7.3GSAx
18-19: -10.8GSAx
17-18: -9.2GSAx

from evolving hockey he has the 3rd worst cumulative GSAx over the past 5 years:
https://evolving-hockey.com/stats/goalie_standard/?_inputs_&std_gl_adj=%22Score%20%26%20Venue%22&std_gl_status=%22All%22&std_gl_info=%22No%22&std_gl_fa=%2250%22&std_gl_table=%22On-Ice%22&std_gl_span=%22Regular%22&std_gl_group=%22All%22&std_gl_dft_yr=%22All%22&std_gl_players=null&std_gl_str=%22All%22&std_gl_range=%22Seasons%22&std_gl_season=%5B%2220212022%22%2C%2220202021%22%2C%2220192020%22%2C%2220182019%22%2C%2220172018%22%5D&std_gl_team=%22All%22&std_gl_age1=%2217%22&std_gl_age2=%2250%22

I'd say Hischier, they've both been around 50-60 point players but Hischier's 23, Horvat's 27

there has been many times when the gm/hc get votes of confidence to get fired a week later, not saying Dubas is gone but still.

What? it has happened before, like this year when Holland said Tippet was safe just to fire him literally a week later

Just playing devils advocate, because you both are right, both those happened.

I wouldn't group Kyle situations with two coaches who's team who severely out performed.

The Leafs just set a record for points and wins and took the back to back Champs to 7 games.

But, sure, I will agree it's possible for Brendan to do a complete flip and fire Kyle. I feel pretty confident that won't happen.

Anyone want to bet? lol

It’s not bad, Elvis will play the 55-60 ish games, Korpisalo will play 20-25 ish games and Tarosov will be the starter and play 60 games in the AHL and Graves will play like 20 AHL games. If Elvis gets hurt Tarosov come up and plays as the starter in the NHL. It’s the same thing Nashville did with Saros, Rittich and Ingram last season.

I would have gone else where but for 300k you’re getting a guy who knows the team, the organization and the city already. I’d be guessing a vet backup to play 20-25 games in going to coast about a mil.
