Easy decline from the Devils.

Wings should get more than that for taking Bob's contract.

I'm not going to speak on behalf of the other fans, but for Necas... I don't think the value is far off, but I think Carolina would prefer to package Necas for someone better than Bertuzzi

New Jersey and Florida don't even consider those deals.

Carolina and Pittsburgh deals are close in my mind

Think value on Bert deal is pretty close but I’d be scared to commit long term to a guy with back problems. Would rather go after somebody else personally.

Florida won’t consider any deal that involves Lundell. Now if you switch out Lundell with Bennett, then they might listen.

I'm glad you know it is unrealistic.

I think Pittsburgh only considers if they lose Letang and can't sign a replacement like Klingberg, otherwise Hronek isn't a need.

Lundell would be awfully tempting to take on Bob's salary. Guy is good at hockey and fills a need. Florida probably views that as too much, especially since Knight wasn't quite ready last year. Bob is expensive for what he has provided them, but he was good this year and not sure who they go after that would be an upgrade. Are Kuemper and Campbell upgrades? Not really. True they would be cheaper, but Lundell on an entry contract provides them more value than Bobrovsky's overpayment subtracts. I like Veleno, but he is a replacement level player at this point, until he progresses.

Larkin trade won't happen. Value is probably about right, but neither team wants this. Devils have their centers and value Mercer highly and are probably salivating at the thought of drafting Slafkovsky or Cooley. Wings would probably prefer to re-sign Larkin to drafting Cooley.

Carolina one might be the most realistic. Bertuzzi seems like he would fit with Carolina. Clear upgrade on the wing for them. Type of guy who you would imagine would be good to have in the playoffs. Wings buy low on Necas and hope he figures out how to play center.

Devils don’t have a need for Larkin and he’s not quite the guy you move 2OA for anyway.

There isn’t a single team in the league who won’t ask for Lundell if Bob is being moved. The Panthers made a big mistake the moment they signed Bob to that contract, and teams will make them pay for that mistake. And since in this case, his entire contract, 10mil with term, is being tossed out, it would require Lundell if the Panthers want any chance at resigning Huberdeau and Knight.

Besides taking on Bob, I did also provide back some pieces as consolation for Lundell. I don't think it's too unfair.

As for the Canes trade, I like it but hate it at the same time. Value is fine, but as good a fit as Bert would be, I think the Canes should stay clear of anyone with back problems.

Interesting question. I'm not entirely sure but my guess is it would involve Jarvis, Necas, and some kickers to go along with them.

-If the reports are true that Florida is willing to eat money on a Bob deal, I assume it's so they can hang onto guys like Lundell and maximize their return on him (ie, they're gonna eat 4x$5M so they actually get assets back for trading him). I don't see this deal being something they want to make.

-Mercer & 2OA is just too much for the Devils to give up for a guy like Larkin - especially considering that center is their strongest lineup spot. Does Larkin push Jack Hughes or Nico Hischier to the wing? I think it's just bad value on Jersey's part.

-Value on the Bertuzzi deal seems right, the team can probably change but that's the type of package they should shoot for if they're looking to move him.

-It is hard to get a good feel for Hronek's value - I feel like this is an underpay? But I could be wrong.

Another Hronek trade I tried recently was Hronek + WSH's 2nd to Dallas for Faksa + Oskar Back + 18oa. This was fairly well received where we get a serviceable vet and B-level Swedish prospect while moving up 34 spots to the middle of the 1st round. So I wouldn't say his value is super high but it's not low either considering he's been playing 22+ minutes a game for Detroit and is serviceable in all situations.
