Love the contract, not the role though. Would've rather had a better top 4 RHD.

Wow, that's a really good deal for Miller. Didn't expect his new contract to be this much of a bargain, especially considering the price of defensemen so far in this free agent period.

In that case Klingberg replacement. Or Suter moves down to the 3rd pair, which I'm not sure Dallas can afford to bring back Klingberg while already having signed Marchment, and Robertson + Oettinger still need new deals

Yeah Klinger is a gonner and our D core just downgraded majorly. Jim Nill is probably one of the worst GM's when it comes to free agency, he's very unorganized. Need a big year from Harley.

Miller imo will have a solid bounce baack year. he was really solid a before going to Buffalo.... tell me if you heard this story before

I'm with you, it's just that I don't like the fact that he's our 3rd best dman, should be 4th.

That Suter signing is one of the worst ones Nill ever did, pure garbage.

Would have rather had a better RHD but the AAV and term are solid and he has offensive potential.

maybe hes a "good locker room guy" (suter) Miller will play himself off the 3rd pairing. i was really hoping Caps signed him to bridge the gap from Jensen to iorio

Glendening and Hakanpaa worked out pretty well I'd say. We'll see what happens with Marchment. I think Miller should be a good fit in Dallas, but yeah, can't ignore that it will be hard for Dallas to be better than they were last year if Klingberg walks

There were reports that he was a cancer in the locker room lol. He's a complete dud.

From my point of view, it almost feels like Jim Nill is content with a culture of mediocrity, and is more or less cotent to count on luck to hopefully going in his favor the rest of the way. I feel for Stars fans when Nill says he feels the team is "in a good spot", like, good enough to do what exactly?
